I still can't fathom that Nas was able to create an album like illmatic at such a young age. It's insane to see how advanced In years and skills he was.

Nas was 20 by the time he dropped Illmatic. Not since a 19 year old Rakim dropped Paid In Full in 1987 have we seen someone like this again until Nas.

Look as little Shyheim. I was such a big Nas and Shyheim fan back in the days, that I ended up naming my 2nd born son Nasir Shyheim.

It's easy to make music, making music that matters... different story "ILLMATIC". Man, I remember the Bouncers were dissing NAS, he left by that time. They were like "this dude had a beach towel and did 4 songs with a bomber jacket on?!) Some hate indeed but it was a memory I had of that day. 10:32 i'm 18 here. Fronting on stage with Tuffy from Video Music Box. Now 20yrs. later we're both part of the cast of the "EASTWILLYB" Web-Series.

You didn't understand what I said. You didn't read it as I wrote it. I said about the video there were more black people supporting hiphop then. It was everyone but I go by fact as living in that era and being there. I didn't say anything about about white people not listening to in back in the day that wasn't my point. Never said that. I am speaking on black people. Summer Jam Wu tang clan didn't get the love they were shown back in the day.
@B.L3opard11 жыл бұрын
what track is that at 1:57?
@barrela8011 жыл бұрын
why you got to come to that. there are lot's of hard core hiphop heads that were bumping illmatic that werent black its just more white ppl like now thats a good thing

@sirjcmr1978 first off stop being disrespectful homie.. and it's 1994 not 93 illmatic was already in stores illmatic came out April of 1994 come on man do ur homework tony just made a error
@ARakaLordBrilliant11 жыл бұрын
Never said white people that listen to it is a bad thing now a days haha. I go to rock the bells and our people who started the hiphop movement are not there representing. Don't read too much into I have close friends from many nationalities including white aight peace!
