Hi everyone. I'm 38 years old and I just want to say that I cry every time when I listen to this song, but I cry from happiness and sadness at the same time. It takes me back to my youth times and even though I'm from Poland and I don't live in Compton and I'm not black, I still feel every word of this song. Love to you all and WESTSIDE 4EVER!!! RIP for every friend we have lost! Peace!

I used to sing this during my childhood when was involved in the gang group. I almost die in riot. Been involved in wrong doings. Have friends have been killed, hurt and went miserable. Been involved looking for the attention (felt no one care for me in my own family during that time). Thanks God as I am no longer in the gang and managed to correct my life. I have my family now. Lot of lessons I have learned and I don't regret it having involved in the gang. It's just a chapter in my life that have passed which will be in my heart until I die. For the children who have been seeking for attention, I pray that God will comfort you and give you good direction in life. Its good to live in peaceful life. Thank you for all the likes and comments.. Really appreciate it.. In this time, let me take this opportunity to greet you all a blessed Merry Christmas.. It's been a tough year for each and everyone this year due to Covid-19 pandemic. Some of us has lost our love ones (including me). It also affected our work, some has lost their jobs, closed their businesses, continue working with less working hours (reduced salaries), some of our family members were diagnosed with Covid-19, etc. However, we are still standing and able to survive all those challenges. If you are struggling in life, don't lose hope - our Almighty God is still in the throne (“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6)). You may be struggling at this moment and losing hope - but don't quit. Hold on, continue to have faith and stay connected with God. We may be in the stage of challenges/ adversity in our life, but this are all temporary. Just hold on to God as He is doing something for you, your time is coming - healing, opportunity, prosperity, happiness, restoration, peace and all the good things that God has promised to you. I have no other wish but for each and everyone to be in good health, abundance, restoration, peace and God's continuous provision of blessings, favour and protection. Shalom.. .

This song used to choke me up a bit back in the day, it still does today. Just sheerly in how the song is presented alone is powerful. In my opinion, he was one of the last true artists still in existence during, what I acknowledge as, the "turning point" of music. It seems like it was not only a grand tribute to the Westside, but also a farewell to a golden era. This is a genuine work of art, a genuine classic. TQ.....Thank You. 💯 ✊🏿✌🏿

When we all graduated U.S. Army boot camp and were stuck in the 'newby' barracks for the first few weeks, we only had access to a small radio. October 1998. At that time, they had four songs on repeat. This was one of them. That is why this is one of my favs.

My mama used to jam this cd when I was a young girl. I hear it now in 2021 makes me think of her. She said it used to make her think of my uncle when he was incarcerated.
