Extremely disappointing. I expected a lot more from the finale especially after defending the show all season.

People like to make excuses that the pacing and logic are whack because it's "made with 5 seasons in mind" but I can confirm the execution (and writing) is meh. They want to say a lot of things but with wanting a lot of mystery and drama and """"impactful""" editing (nat's death scene) - it doesnt say anything important at all. In the end, I am more detached than ever. Might just wait til it finishes next time. Currently not invested in the adult timeline because they "solved" it I guess

@@gltterati I really did try to justify the pacing because I assumed the payoff would be worth it but I was sadly mistaken. Some story lines were pointless (bens depression/tripping/attempted suicide) some unanswered (cristals death/body) and literally all the answers we did get were so rushed and unsatisfying it turned me off of the show completely. The police investigation, the whole cult thing and I mean what was the “hunt” at the end actually for?? Like wasn’t it all for survival in the past? What the fuck is the point in the future? What were they trying to accomplish? God this show pissed me off.

Mixed feelings. Still one of my favorite shows but I definitely agree with a lot of the criticisms others are expressing. For one thing, if it was Coach Ben that trapped them inside the cabin and set it on fire that’s pretty damn hypocritical. I also don’t like how they wrapped up the Adam Martin investigation. I do like that Walter is obviously as looney tunes as Misty but that was just too far out in left field for me, even for this show. Hate that Nat is gone and I’m going to be pissed if because of that they take the liberty of making young Nat go evil. Not cool. Still many things I love but next season better be damn good.

I’m not mad at Nat dying, she was suicidal regardless and you can’t change your mind in such a short time (one week was the time of season 2). It wasn’t the way she wanted but in end she got peace. Also her story didn’t have anywhere else to go, she doesn’t have a family, her lover died and she has been messed up since they got back from the wilderness. Gonna miss Juliette Lewis but I’m excited we still have young Nat raising as a possible antler queen. Season 2 was 6/10

season 1 was incredible i binged it in a day because it was nonstop action, shock, intrigue, and incredible acting. season 2 i am considering not even finishing. nothing happens and i’ve stopped caring about every single character.

I don't understand how the compound is not where they were found back in the day. Or maybe Lottie chose that location because it's similar. Also why not murder Lotti? Sad that Natalie is gone but glad that Missy has found love with an equally bizarre Elijah Wood. I don't know if it's demons or trauma or a trauma-demon-cave-witch or whatever but I'm ready for everyone to become fully unhinged. We're almost there. IMO this was implied but didn’t actually happen. At the start of season 2 at the start of snow inside the cabin, they make it known by visuals that there are a lot of dry moss EVERYWHERE in that cabin, probably in the chimney as well. This could possibly mean (like a lot of this series) it’s just a coincidence that Ben/Coach was seen taking the matches and the cabin burning. Him taking the matches might be a ground for season 3, as in season 1 they all struggled to make fire with the nature around them, and needed the matches and lighters to start/ignite their fires.

@@carrievictoria7913 heat expands things. That’s probably why the door got stuck - I have a wooden front door and in winter/humid times it swells and sometimes struggle to open. That’s my opinion ☺️

After Season 2, I'm done with Yellow Jackets. Imo, everyone is just so irredeemable at this point. Watching them watch Javi drown was one of the most tortuous thing I've watched on TV. Van convincing Travis to eat his brother.....yikes. These actors are so talented but life is painful enough without putting myself through another season of this show. I just don't have the stomach for it.

I'm pissed Nat died. As a fellow recovery person(4.5 years here) I'm proof that people can change and Nat had changed and there was still so many ways they could've taken her character( I think) plus I think her character was the most relatable as far as human nature is concerned. I'm sad.

I’m pissed she died too. They could have done so much more with her. As a recovering person myself I found it crazy that all of them were drinking in front of her and offering it to her when they had that girls night together. They all knew she was an addict and just got out of rehab like wtf. But then again they agreed to do a hunt so they were pretty insane. Also she seemed to be able to pick up and then quit again pretty easily for someone who was supposed to be a hardcore addict.

Only halfway through recap, but this is already one of the best & most thorough season recaps ever. I gave up on Season 2 around E8. Idk what changed after S1 (which was excellent start to finish), maybe different writers or change in focus or too much emphasis on the supernatural (S1 just had a hint which was just enough)…

The seasons are coming along very nice. I'm not mad at any choices the show creators have done. I honestly feel the dead will come back to haunt the survivors. I would have loved to see how Laura Lees character would have played out. At this point we can't predict anything. I actually ordered Paramount+ to rewatch the series. My favorite show at the moment. Hail the Antler Queen.

First season was great. Second season seemed rather directionless in the sense that they have no clear idea what to do with these characters or need to add bloat and stupid plot twists turning a potential great 3 Seasons series into a crappy 5 Seasons series.

They could have done so much more with this premise, every time they seem to go somewhere interesting, they fail to really deliver. Especially the adult part, seems all over the place, as if they dont know how to match the 2 stories and making a lot of it on the fly. It is not the worst show I would rate it a 6/10 as a whole.

Also it sounded like Juliet Lewis was not into her character and how it was being written. Something to do with the addiction stuff as she in rl has had her own issues with addiction and wasn’t wanting to depict this kind of person or not the way it was portrayed. In one live interview with all the cast it had barely ended and she jumped off and left the stage the second she could. It looked odd. Like she didn’t want to be there, same when she answered a couple of questions. This is not a diss on JL, I’m a big fan of her and her work, I think she’s an amazing actress and did a great job with her character on this series. Just maybe she’s not into it and was wanting off anyway and her character development wasn’t really going anywhere anyway.

Barely made it through season 1. Personally hate shows with constant time jump/flashbacks. Would’ve been interesting if they just stuck with the younger characters and make it like a lord of the flies kind of thing. Could’ve done without the spiritual mysticism nonsense

Exactly when she was giving birth i actually tried to figuering out how much time did she had cuz it didnt add up, they said they were year and a half in the wilderness , so if she find out she was pregnant in the woods she might be a month pregnant already, not exaclty an experrt there lol, so his baby should be premature it has to be that way, so they should still be another 9 months out there before somehow they get rescue and this is not the first time they had messed up with the writting..... Im still intriguing about the opening escene , we saw the "pitgirl" get killed and surely be eating and we still dont know who it is , it is in the intro lmao how can they forget about that
