The part where you guys brought up the amount travis was sexualized made me remember something that I had read about how the show pulls from the way a beehive would function, so we have our alter queen as the queen bee, and the other girls as the lady bees (cleaning, foraging, etc.) so travis would represent the male bees whose sole purpose is to mate :)

It took an embarrassing time in my first rewatch to connect the name “yellow jacket” to the bug and not their literal jackets with yellow sleeves Coming back to this video so editing: in case anyone hasn’t ever seen the show there are literally yellowjackets(bug) everywhere and they call the team that. I was just was paying too much attention to everything else it took until episode 5 to make the connection.

I don’t want to make you feel like I’m discrediting you and your experiences but this was actually debunked. It turns out that because of how frequently most women menstruate, and the length of the cycles and how they can vary each month multiple days, statistically women are going to overlap each other during their periods which gives the illusion that they are syncing up. But in reality, the group of women are not all starting and stopping on the same days. I’ve also experienced having my cycle align with my friends/group of other women where we all have our period at the same time; it’s weird that there isn’t any actual “syncing up” but just a statistical chance of there being at least one day where we all are menstruating. Anyway, I definitely didn’t have the intention of discrediting you; I was hoping that you might appreciate this bit of information. ☺️

@@courtneycallen So glad to see someone in the wild actually discuss this to try and put this nonsense to rest because anytime I have ever tried to have a discussion about it, someone’s anecdotal experience somehow trumps basic logic and averages. 🥴 I mean, think about it: _if_ it were true, all the girls at school would sync up because of ✨hormones✨. Hell, my sisters, my mother, and I would have had our menstrual cycles sync up magically because we _lived_ together growing up, yet it always seems to only happen to select people. That not how any of this works lol. Trust me, Mother Nature isn’t out here being selective with this stuff. It’s nothing more than a mere coincidence given a typical period happens every 28 days and on average lasts about a week. Tack on how most high schoolers start taking birth control, which helps regulate cycles … yeah … really don’t know how people thought their periods all happened at the same time when the reality is more akin to just people starting and stopping around the same week due to how averages work.

My favorite theory is that the Cabin Guy had a daughter and the daughter is out there somewhere, and is the friend Javi mentioned. Maybe she’s been living feral in the wilderness using the tunnels all this time. I don’t even care if the theory is true, I just think it’s a fun idea. I really hope the end stays ambiguous about the spiritual elements. I love how the show is basically mirroring how real world superstitions develop among desperate, scared, and hungry people just like they would have in our primitive past. So I hope they keep towing the line of everything having both a spiritual explanation and a rational explanation.
