So sorry to hear your fur baby has been poorly 😢 it's such a worry. My boy not so long back had a stroke and I was in a right state! He has pulled through but he is 13 very soon so he is showing his age now with his legs,like your poodles my boy has a big frame and he dashes about on those legs,swims you name it he does it,it keeps him supple although he does take medication for his arthritis now. Your home is looking absolutely beautiful and I also live in a old house,1940 and you only have to blow the wall and the plaster falls off! I have picked up so .any of your tips and used them,just brilliant thank you. Take care and looking forward to your next video.

The cabinet is beautiful. Can't wait to see where you style it.. The new while doors and trim in the hall make it look so much lighter and airy. I can see how the black was punching back at you even though it looked good. I was surprised to see that you left the window frame black... Demetri looks so sweet. He seems so comfortable in his little blue coat... Does he ever try to take it off? Does he get along with the dogs?

I read somewhere recently, a quote from a home designer - "every room needs some black...as an accent" I loved the black you originally did...but have to say, I love the white more. It looks clean and bright and lets the light bounce around. The black accents you have left absolutely do the space justice. Another job perfectly done 🙂

Fabulous, I love the white paint, it makes such a difference to the space so many doors to work on. I think the black is lovely too but the white has made a huge impact in this area. The china cabinet turned out amazing. Good call on repainting the trim in white. I hated the brown the previous owners had. The black is ok in small quantities and for certain accents but I think white is always the best. You are very talented and have a good eye for style. :)

It seems everyone in theUS is using oven cleaner to remove old varnish etc. This is the way I do it. Beautiful

I have all the original windows on my 1939 house, and I installed Allied storm windows almost two years ago. They don't take anything away from the look of the old windows like regular storm windows would, and the house is now quieter and less drafty.

We have the same Armstrong ceiling tiles. I caulked around every one of them and, like you, painted three coats of white. Labor intensive but so worth it.

What you did repainting the upper hallway really separates the "women from the girls" -- or the true interior designers from the dabblers. Although painstaking, you kept going until you had the result that made it feel right. I doubt I would have done the same. And by the way, adorable puppies, affectionate cat, great tulips (especially the white frizzy ones).

Now I’m thinking of trying that technique on an old sideboard I acquired from Habitat For Humanity. I had been thinking painting was my only option but I love how yours turned out! Also love the hallway transformation. I did like the black but know what you mean about it being heavy. It looked great in your videos but can see it might have been too much in person. I do like the unique way you left the window frame black though. I tend to think all the woodwork needs to be the same color. Your take is so interesting! Thank you for sharing!

Just a note: using any green or orange or yellow in bathrooms, especially if it's where one does their makeup, makes ones skin tone look off. It will give your skin a sickly almost jaundiced tone. I once painted my bathroom the sheerest, palest apricot. It looked gorgeous. Unfortunately even my husband noticed how sickly he looked in there. He had chosen the color because he didn't want pink which is the Best tone for skin. So I repainted in white, then the palest blush, so sheer it was hard to tell the pink was there. But it both brightened up the room and made our skin look healthy and fabulous. Yes, even for those whose skin tone normally looks fine with the peachy tones, the palest blush just make one look healthy. ***Love the whitewashed cabinet! Good job!

Thank you so much Megan for your kind feedback and experience with colour palette that created different colour reactions, especially a bathroom. We generally look at ourselves the most in that room , mostly close up. I will definitely look into this. It’s a huge bathroom and lots of space to bounce colour. I was thinking a blush pink but very dusty kind with grey in it. I appreciate your feedback 🤗♥️♥️

The white looks more grand! I purchased a condo and they did grey walls and grey cabinets. Dark grey. I've repainted the walls in a mint green type color. Cabinets are next!
