I am a huge YES fan but really. Yessongs has what the band thought were the best versions from the tour so why spend $100.s on the out takes . I certaintly won't.

Different mixing in this era brought out something very different (hidden details) from Yessongs. Plus there are some very hot alt performances here. Not that the difference is worth nearly $500. But I got it on sale for under $300, and that was to me worth it.

Yessongs is clearly a great live album, but the sound is pretty muddy and uneven … research into why has to do with how the Dolby settings were dialed in … poorly obviously in comparison to the shows represented on these discs. The entire Greensboro show is on the yesofficial channel here on KZbin if you want to give it a go … it’s pretty great 👍🏼🌟
