I am very inspired by you and I think you are truly amazing. I often consider adding a side-hustle to add some income to my PhD stipend, but I think I value my free time much more than money right now. After severe burnout and almost leaving the program in Jan 2022, I just need to slow it down, lighten the load, and make things work with my current stipend. Which I am absolutely okay with!

I started following you when I began as a graduate student. I was desperately seeking community knowing I was not alone in this season of life. For awhile, I assumed that this was second nature to you, based off of the content I was watching. It motivated me but certainly didn't make me feel less alone. Recently I have appreciated how honest you are about imposter syndrome, because I have been feeling that way and it can be very isolating. I teared up alongside you at the end! I would love to get to know your story a little more, maybe a video dedicated to your struggles as a student at the start to where you are today and the emotions of it all. I noticed you created a short that alluded to that. Or do you have a video on that already?

This video feels like it hits different than most of the videos you’ve done recently. I think it’s such a truly beautiful thing to be able to not only find yourself more emotionally appealed by the endeavors, work, & journeys that you are embarking on, but also that you are so able and willing to share those aspects of your experiences with so many people who would otherwise avoid embarking on their own journeys themselves because of nerves, or doubts, or anything like that. Especially considering you’re sharing a certain piece of knowledge, such as how you make an income through KZbin and your businesses because there are a lot of people in the world that maybe do the same thing, but don’t want to share that information out of fear that they’ll get knocked down the ranks or they will give someone else the ability to overshadow their content. It shows the level of confidence you have in yourself and your abilities to maintain your knowledge, skills, and growth to keep putting relevant and important information out there. You make branding accessible for everyone, and I applaud you for that. ❤ the work you do makes me want to start vlogging my journey in hopes to connect with more like minded individuals because in person communities are not easy to come by these days and sometimes widening the range is the best option to grow a community for yourself and others that can be mutually beneficial. Thank you for the pick-me-up today. It was sorely needed. 🥰

So proud and happy for your new business venture! Once you've started and more slots open up, I hope to consult with you! I've been too scared to pursue my own personal brand because I think, who would be interested in me and my personal and academic lives? But I'm going to take the plunge because you have inspired me. Thanjs Kaelyn!

Oof, seeing your vulnerability at the end of this video made me so emotional! You've come so far, Kaelyn. It has been SO fun and honestly --- a real GIFT to watch you flourish since 2019. I can personally say that your content helped get me thru the pandemic and I can't imagine what my attitude towards grad school would be if you did not have this space on the internet. You DESERVE the financial successes you've been having. You. deserve. it.

I cannot tell you how much I'm loving this long-form content. Literally the bright spot of my week. But just as you say you are feeling really nauseous because of your pills (I'm so sorry about that, I know how much it sucks), -- I find for day to day sickness, Dramamine really helps, and Zofran is like the God-tear anti nausea medication (this one is over the counter, but if you call up your primary/urgent care doctor, and explain what's going on, they will prescribe it!) Again, I'm sorry you're feeling poorly, being stomach sick is a particular kind of grating/tiring! Sending all best!

Thank you, this was a great video! I realized that I do a version of this myself. When I can’t pull myself together I ask myself what would X (someone I know and look up to) do in this situation and then I try to act accordingly 😄 It actually works most of the time! I guess it’s important to be mindful of how one is using these techniques, I’m trying to act like someone I feel have it all together, but it’s important to remember that they probably don’t (at least not all the time). Thanks again!

How cute your colleagues are for telling you that you graded ONE of their paper. Wen it comes to my colleagues....If I teach a course with them and we have 100 students, I usually grade 80-90 of those. Yay! as someone who has been consistently gaslighted by my narcassistic mother and so called "friends", i must admit im a bit triggered by the title of this video. i love your content and i understand that this is based on a tiktok trend, but sensationalizing toxic words to try and use them for positive narratives is just... not the best or healthiest approach. thats just my opinion of course, its not correct or incorrect. i just pray that, your response to this comment is not harsh, as i am not coming from a place of hate.

@@KaelynGraceApple you have no reason to apologize, but i deeply respect your response and maturity. i offered constructive criticism to another youtuber and she verbally attacked me in the comments, screenshotted my username and slandered me on instagram, and i had an intense physical response where i feared for my online safety. it was traumatic and made me cautious about offering feedback, but those that respond that way have their own internal problems to work out. im glad to know that you are professional and empathetic, so thank you sincerely))
