Congrats Kaelyn! The nerves are the WORST but you did so well. Totally agree about the reading from your paper point. I presented at a grad student conference for the first time in January and found it to be the best way. It’s impossible not to. Well done, hope you were able to relax after it!

As a historian, I really enjoyed your presentation at this conference. You pushed through on the nerves! Good job! I sometimes stumble on my words too when I present. I like going first so I can get it over with 😂. I also took your advice and started a KZbin channel. "Fled to the Enemy" is a good scholarly book title. I conducted a quick research, and I don't see anything like what you are discussing in this presentation on the market. Great job. On a different note, I used to stutter badly and was scared to speak in public and give presentations. Ironic how I became a teacher. Life.

Don't worry about the jumbles in your words! One time I had a virtual conference this past spring and the air from my ceiling fan got stuck in my throat while I was talking and I had a huge coughing fit MID PAPER. LOL 😂😂😂😂😂 I was so embarrassed at the time but now it is just a funny memory!

Do you have any suggestions for finding modern scholars in your field? (Mythology, in particular.) Also, just another big ‘thank you’ for all you do.
