Then at trade in some black woman who works in HR with bad acrylic nails will buy it and within a year all the rims will be ruined. I love the e class (interior anyway) and s class all around but god is the c class just an excuse to say you drive a Benz

I’m very happy Mercedes has introduced models like the CLA and GLA, and now the A-Class to the American lineup - it allows them to really bring the C-Class up to par with its more premium cousins without having to compromise on materials, features, and quality as being the entry-level model. What a phenomenal ride! It’ll be interesting to see how the W205 ages.

This car is an absolute work of art inside and out. I just hate how companies are doing screens now because they really look like an afterthought how they are just floating on the dash. I get that they are trying to put them as high up in your sightline as possible but in all honesty i'd rather have no screen at all.

To that clown that posted a few spots below me on the 3 Series being superior you obviously haven't driven a Merc. The W204 was a solid, safe, refined and stylish sedan if equipped correctly with the sport or AMG sport package. It had a plain interior but everything felt solid and the structure of the car felt rock solid keeping in tune with what a Benz should feel like. Reliability was very good too and didn't have the weak spots a BMW has (plastic cooling pipes and plastic electric water pump). BMW was the more fun car to drive but for those who wanted a bit more comfort with enough sport the W204 was a fine choice.

I've been a dyed in the wool BMW and Porsche guy for several decades, but I have to say I was blown away by this car. I had my pick between a 3 or 5 series BMW for my company car, but when I test drove a C200L here in China, I had to have it. It was heads and shoulders above the BMW in fit and finish and was amazed at the performance and handling of this car, unlike any Mercedes I had ever driven. The car has the 2.0 Turbo/7 speed auto and the "L" offered here in China made the rear seat leg room like an S Class. Even the new styling makes the BMW look ordinary in comparison. I think this new line of Mercedes will definitely give BMW and Audi a run for it's money. So much so that I am thinking about trading in my M3 for a C63 AMG when I get back home to the States, or maybe even trading in my Cayman S for that AMG GT-S which is absolutely a sick car. My only disappointment with the car is getting used to the column stalk gear selector and grabbing for a stick on the center console that is not there. Otherwise, the car is amazing.

We don't blame you for choosing the TLX, it's a great choice and we do stand by our statement how Acura is the value leader in a segment that typically doesn't offer it. The new C-Class just feels more special than the Acura, and it damn well should considering how much more expensive it is.

I only watch videos of his that I HAVE to watch, otherwise, I go elsewhere for information. That being said, the C-Class is an amazing car. I test drove the C300 and really, really liked it. I'm actually sick of the griping over the nav screen. The reality is, while driving, the screen would be displayed 100% of the time anyway. One thing I disliked is the bias over German cars over Japanese. I know that the German 3 has outstanding engines. But he should test drive the 2014 Lexus IS 350 f sport. It is a great vehicle that I think that will change his view on some Japanese cars. They dropped the manual from the C300 in 2011. There were some nice updates that year as well, so the 2011 C300 is 6MT is a great little car that's hard to find. Audi dropped the manual S4 (and IMO made the styling SO BORING for '17+). Now we are stuck with the M3 if you want a stick, or if need AWD a 335i x-drive (which I find boring inside/out with lackluster handling). Even as a die-hard manual guy I am strongly considering a C300 or C400 right now. If there was a manual it would be a no-brainer.

I'm scared to drive this car because my heart is with honda/Acura but something tells me I'm going to like this one better. I'm in the market now currently considering an IS350 F Sport, TLX SH-AWD, and this C400. The price is my only issue with the C400, not that I can't afford it but it's hard to over look the value in the Lexus and Acura when you compare feature for feature. I can't get over how the Germans nickel and dime their customers for the basics like Hid headlights, or a backup camera. Also for 60k I could get into an RLX SH SH-AWD, which in itself is an incredible value. I guess we'll see I will drive them all though.

We feel your pain, the big difference between the Japanese and the Germans really has to do with the engines. Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti have not gone with the forced-induction 6-cylinder just yet. Once you feel just how much quicker the Germans are, it may just hook you. Unfortunately, part of what makes BMW, Audi, and Mercedes more expensive has to do with that wonderful motor. If speed and solidity are high on your priorities, you may find the extra cost of the German cars to be justifiable.

You have to also account for reliability. Unless you're leasing, German cars are notorious for expensive repairs. And if you're not one of the diy people, you might be going to the dealers. Trust me, the overcharge when it comes to repair. When buying/financing a car, you can't just look at one aspect especially power. There are others.

vaajchang Most people lease these cars then might buy it at end of lease term if they really like the car and has been trouble free. One thing to understand about a Mercedes having issues is the dealer experience making it pain free to deal with, like they pick your car up from your home and leave a loaner for you then turn that around once your car is fixed.

Just a comment... can you tone down the post-processing a little bit? The video looks way too contrasty.

I rarely see any mercedes on the road besides the e350. All I see now are the new Lexus IS' and the older BMW's.

Ipod floating on the dash is a new trend but I was hoping MB would buck the trend and not be followers.

Kind of sad when this is considered a compact car. Ever test out the new BMW X5 5.0? I think you'd like the performance from that turbo V8.
