I have watched about 10 YT videos on this new press release car and I am very keen. This is a great review by a no nonsense reviewer giving excellent information. If Porsche USA folk are reading these comments, I would love to convey some of my wish list options to consider. In the weather conditions in my area (Seattle), it is my and other’s opinion that Carmine Red is disappointing to see in person in conditions other than the perfect sunny day. I really wish Guards Red was an ever present color option for every model Porsche, especially a GTS! Additionally, I would personally want to delete the glass roof, opting for and wanting a roof box. The German spec press cars are shown occasionally, and these are IMO hands down the way I would want to spec the car. But Porsche seems to limit the build options for USA bound cars. It is frustrating to be cut off from options that are otherwise possible from the production line.

Real question I have. Is the gts suspension ‘noticeably’ harder than the 4S and Turbo suspension? Asking for a friend.
@Basics_of_Gameology2 жыл бұрын
Some say it is stiffer than 4S, which is exactly the same as the Turbo. EVO: GTS has 20 percent stiffer anti-roll bars front and rear, and higher spring rates, while the three-chamber air suspension setup now uses all three chambers only for Normal mode, with Sport and Sport Plus both reverting to a single chamber, unlike the 4S. Turbo/Turbo S also has a "20 percent stiffer" data, so it should be safe to assume that both GTS and Turbo suspensions are the same. However, the gem of this GTS is the difference in the size of the motors (The front motor is significantly smaller than the rear TurboS motor). Which causes the GTS a "Rear-Wheel Drive" with "Sports Car pushing feeling". Porsche referred to the Turbo S as an "autobahn machine" while the GTS as a "driver's machine". Cheers! Hope this helps!

BTW given electric car absurd power zero to 60 has become a useless metric. We are going to have to come up with something else. A good example is the Tesla Plaid, it seems to be able to reach warp speed but all reviewers seem to agree that everything else in the car is not up to the task and it might be, quite frankly, dangerous.
@Porsche19693 жыл бұрын
That's why Porsche EVs are so much better NOW and in the FUTURE than Tesla, because with all of Porsches sports- and racing car experience from the last 70 years, Porsche absolutely never disappoints with "perfect package" vehicles. There's simply no Porsche with shitty brakes or way too underdeveloped chassis technology. The Model S Plaid is pure junk, compared to totally serious and perfectly engineered Porsche Taycan GTS or Turbo models! Porsche is still the master in chassis tuning and braking technology. About all these things Tesla has NO FUCKING CLUE, because its still a r o o k i e in this industry! I've said it thousand times, I say it again: Model S is still a one trick pony, which in a Model S Plaid can be even dangerous, because all its mad acceleration power has no braking power- and chassis tech equivalent. For these reasons, on the race track all the Porsche Taycan models still drive circles around any Model S.

You can tell the designers just could not do their work without having something resembling a tach. And I'm glad that Porsche (for the most part) didn't go hyper minimalist with the interior like a lot of other EV's. I don't understand the connection between electric and bare bones interior. I also am not embarrassed to admit that I'm waiting for an EV that lets you shift gears (even if it's just a fake jerk from the motors) and makes engine noises. So, it's possible I'm just not wired to be an EV owner.

Tesla has been able to correct and improve their quality problems - GM just ignores them. Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid are doing what the auto industry experts said was not possible just 10 years ago.
