The collar is a howling disaster genuinely ruins the shirt just a standard round collar makes it a decent shirt.

When you compare it to the New Balance kit we had with stripes it doesn't even come close to how well designed that was. On its own terms it could have been quite good but the collar needed to be a proper collar with two buttons, like the away we had that was acru. Sleeves are oddly plain but the centre a bit too busy. Would have helped easy the busy centre by having a uniform white badge, whoosh and sponsor.

Can live with the collar style. It's a different interpretation of the 80s umbro collars as Maych pointed out. However, nike dropped the ball again with the 97 and Hillsborough flames being printed on instead of embroidered onto the shirt. Guess it will peel off in time just like the sponsors. Sleeve cuffs also should have matched the collar, much like the side insert panels.

Don't hate this kit as much as the majority of people seem to from the comments, agree it looks a little busy up close but from a normal distance it looks classic. Collar is a bit odd and I'm not sure if the player-version is going to be a bit too busy with the extra patterns in the fabric but 3rd/5 for me. 1. 2023/24 (red and white) 2. 2020/21 (red, white and green) 3. 2024/25 (red, white, gold) 4. 2022/23 (red only) 5. 2021/22 (red, white, orange)

the thing that bothers me is the way the pin stripes look on the shoulders, if they were just normal pin stripes that connected seamlessly to the YNWA ones on the front and back it would look so much better, hell if the whole kit was just normal pin stripes I think it would be close to an all timer for me, if I was to put it into my ranking I'd go like this: 1. 23/24 - this season 2. 22/23 - last season 3. 21/22 - almost quadruple season 4. 24/25 - the new one 5. 20/21 - COVID season

I like everything about it except the collar. It it completely destroys the classic style. Nike took a punt on doing something new with the collar and fell miserably short. Also the mismatched pinstriping in the top quarter sends my OCD into overdrive. Does it need the stitch line across the top?

This kit is not bad, would’ve been even better if it was fixed collar. Off all the Nike home kits, i like the one with teal coloured collar. I know the collar was weird shape but adding teal made it unique for me. 1. Teal collar 2. White collar (this season) 3. All red / no collar 4. Pop up collar 5. Pink / fluorescent red collar with diagonal stripes Best Nike jersey is the away kit 21/22 - teal proper collar, fluorescent red badge off white (almost beige) jersey
