The "Corner Shot" isn't a gun from "Wanted" although that's where most non gun people probably saw it first. It's a system that you place a gun into, that enables you to see around corners designed in the early 2000's by an Israeli named Amos Golan in cooperation with American investors. Sorry to be that guy but didn't want people thinking it was a gun instead of a machine you put a gun into.

@mgordon1100

I can believe hitting that RPG trigger with a bullet to some degree. But as cool as the spinning car exit looks, some physics are overlooked. The car is spinning. That means the objects and inhabitants of the car are spinning too. If you could successfully exit without getting hit by the spinning vehicle, you'll still be spinning. That's why when you see somebody jump from a moving vehicle, they keep on rolling.

@@mgordon1100Mythbusters pretty thoroughly busted the RPG scene as well. 1 it has a timer fuse, so it cannot go off til it gets closer to the target 2 the momentum and mass of the RPG + the shape of the charge are designed to drive the Shockwave and shrapnel forward into the target and perpendicular to its path. If a trigger malfuntion did allow the bullet to detonate the RPG, it's still unlikely she would have been engulfed
@mgordon1100
@mgordon1100 10 ай бұрын
@jerryfick613 Your second point is well taken. Movie magic was certainly at play for an instant payoff. She deserved to be blown up. As for your first point, there are two types of grenades. One is the timed detonation that you spoke of, and the other is an impact detonation. We can safely assume that this is the impact because that's how it worked in the scene. To be honest, I knew nothing about RPG's until you posted. I had to look it up. I'm interested in the Mythbusters segment on this though.

Morgan Freeman? John F'n Malkovich? Even Dreyfuss damn acting legends who even if in a trash movie will be the highlight and not be half-assed like some others I can name who get by on roles because of popularity not necessarily being cast because their acting talent was wanted.

One of the funniest action comedies ever made! I saw this and RED 2 in the theater with my parents and we loved every minute of it! There was going to be a third film in development, but was cancelled due to the poor reception of RED 2, as well the retirement of Bruce Willis. There's even a TV series based on the video in development, but it might take a while, due to ongoing SAG WGA STRIKE.

When I got around to Red, I had never heard of the original comic, so I didn’t have very high expectations. Despite that, I actually really enjoyed the film. You know, great cast, fun plot, overall just really enjoyable movie. Despite low expectations I ended up enjoying it more than a significant portion of DCs other lesser known films.

RED as an limited series (3 issues) debuted 20 years ago by Wildstorm, imprint of DC Comics. The first film was great. Very few had known of it to be based on something from DC. But it was the stsr-studded cast that brought out the masses. Very well written and directed in way that didn't feel like a comic-book. Still it was entertaining This was the final film for the late, great Ernest Borgnine (Henry). Part 2 was great too. Part 3 was announced, 10 years ago and sadly will never happen. "The Losers", based on DC's Vertigo series came out the same year as RED, months earlier. You should definitely check out that one.

Red is an omage to the action comedies of the 80s which Bruce Willis was mostly known for pre-diehard, it came out in the same era as the expendables which was an omage of the high body count action movies
