Roxy totally gets the horny energy of this movie and Greg was right they do just need to all date each other. It’s so refreshing to see a love triangle where all the points connect. All three of them are so codependent and interconnected so even when they’re just in a duo you always feel the presence of whichever one is not there (parking lot scene is a great example)

@@lunavioleta001 That's true, but Roxy clearly attached herself to the toxic traits of the characters. Something Greg didn't connect to. That's not something I'm making up and I'm not saying it to have a dig at her or say anything bad about her. It's just an observation that I pointed out. And Roxy has said in the past, jokingly, how she's aware that she's drawn to toxic guys (like how she's attracted to Pete Davidson and Barry Keoghan, the dangerous bad boy type). So her personal tastes were reflected in her reaction to the film.

Patrick even told Art that he wasn't talking about tennis when he said "I don't matter?". And the way Patrick he looked at him. In the beginning also said that tennis is like a relationship, a romance even. And that scene with the churros? It definitely isn't just about competition.

You can say that Tashi is just being honest too. She doesn't pretend she likes Art even if he married him. He didn't said i love you, and she was clear she doesn't care if either of the boys love her, so we can assume Art knows this. She didn't broke them apart because he didn't ask to be with any of them, they invited her in from the beginning. I interpreted the film as a happy ending for all of them, so i dont relate when people keep trying to find out who was the most toxic or whatever.. like what? I doesn't matter, they all did awful things and they all forgave each other at the end. They all helped each other

Roxy definitely understood what the director and screenwriter were trying to portray. I’m pretty impressed by how quickly she understood everything as well. WOW! I had to watch the movie a few times and really only got things when I watched some behind the scenes commentary by the cast and creative team. But yes, people really like the minimize the feelings Art and Patrick have for each other as platonic when it’s really a multilayered and complex romantic/sensual connection that they share. One of the interesting things is that the screenwriter specifically called this movie a Queer film. And when Zendaya was asked about it in an interview, her response was “Well, duh.” It is pretty obvious but it definitely challenges people preconceived notions about sexuality and bisexuality in particular. People often see it as this 50:50 split and we invalidate it if a bi persons interaction with one gender is not equal with the gender. I see a lot of people dismiss it as “confusion” or “platonic love” when it’s really just incredibly fluid. As a fluid person myself, I absolutely loved it and actually felt understood with this film.

@@Square-ow7oq Art clearly had feelings for Patrick, you don't get it bc like you said you're gay lol Art is not, he's bi, you have no idea the overcompensation and/or coping mechanism bi men use to keep that desire at bay and I say that as a bisexual guy. Art enjoyed being around Patrick (this was clearly shown from min 1 where they are practically touching and jumping over each other every single minute, the churro scene, etc) and he also never saw Patrick have a reaction to a girl like he did with Tashi. Patrick was always the man h0e, the moment Patrick did not act that way was when Tashi became Art's target (it also does not helps that art was also attracted to Tashi).

He would’ve never been in this position if Tashi wasn’t I thing. He made his bed being manipulative and toxic to Pat. Going behind his back to take his girl. Now years later facing the repercussions of his actions. He is so lifeless around Tashi. I’m in the minority of Pat and Art need eachother. Tashi needs therapy at most. Not saying the others don’t but the boys toxicity only came when Tashi started controlling and being abusive using her power dynamics from the start.

@@lunavioleta001it is not all his fault in any shape or form. Part of is his fault, part of it is Tashis, and part of is Patricks. This is not a story where how the characters end up is one persons doing. Tashi used power dynamics against them the entire film from the moment she met them and treated both men like shit. Patrick let his dick and ego talk the whole movie which made him make horrible decisions that affected both Tashi & Art. Art tried to steal Patrick’s girl behind his back which hurt Tashi and Pat and was a follower which hurt himself. All of them honestly needed to be single but they all are the sole root for the chaos that erupted, just for different reasons

@@graciasabu402 I think Art wasn't sneaky in the present because he already had everything he wanted: Tashi and a successful career. He didn't need to do any manipulation because he didn't want anything. He just wanted to retire. Yes and the way he turned on Patrick when Tashi got hurt because all he wanted was for them to break up, which in turn ended their own relationship. Slimy ahh behavior. Traumatized me cause I have once had a friend like him. Though I still wanted him to be happy in the end, I could never be team Art. It wasn't even that he wanted Tashi- even Patrick didn't care about it and knew Art would snatch her at any opportunity he got and was fine with it. It was the way he did it, giving the door slam to his best friend of years just for a sliver of a chance that he could bed Tashi sometime. Weasel behavior. Patrick had too much grace for that POS 😅. Being cheated on is a very relatable thing, so i think that is the reason why most people like Art the most and got really pissed off about the whole tashi and patrick affair thing. Art is not the best person, after all he tried to create a rift between his best friend and his girlfriend, and also dated her after they broke up. however, he is still the one you root for among the three cuz he was never unfaithful or dishonest about his feelings. he still loves tashi and cares about his daughter and their family. it's not a crime to want to quit something youve been doing a long time. as for patrick, he's probably in love with Art, but goes after Tashi to get to him, and also kinda sorta is attracted to Tashi physically. Tashi loves Art, but is more attracted to patrick physically, but doesn't care about either of them more than Tennis, which is valid. But like girl, then just LEAVE?? Why marry and have a kid with someone only to emotionally abuse him for years? And this is why people, or at least me, prefer Art the most. He's the most normal one out of the three. Patrick and Tashi got some real issues going on with their heads.

Having Roxy and Greg watch this film is the perfect duality of how men and women can view the same thing both walk away loving it but for very different reasons 😅 great watch. I loved the film myself so I'm glad they also enjoyed it as much as I did.

I really wish this movie went ALL the way with the throuple. It’s 2024, we should be progressive enough to end a great movie with an A list actress getting together with both of the guys and the guys putting their egos aside for her.

I agree buuutt that's kinda the point of the film at the end, the director said in a interview that afterwards 'they all go back to the hotel' and obviously it'd be nice for it to be explicit but it works for the film since it's all about subtext and building tensions

😂 oh one last compliment. There are certain movies I will watch on my own and I will enjoy watching it on my own, but then there’s some others that I get really into it while you guys are watching it so I’m very glad you had this little team with you Greg because sometimes when I’m watching a movie I’ll watch it and I like it but not really get overly into it but watching it with you guys, I have a blast, especially if I watch it first and then watch your videos. Sometimes I’ll do the opposite. You realize have gotten me into movies that I thought might not get into so thanks😂😂

Roxy you get it ! Patrick was lowkey flirting and hinting at something when he said he missed playing with art..playful manipulative sexual tension he was giving off but it wasn’t reciprocated. I love this movie so much because it leaves a lot of the imagination of the character relationship between each other especially the two friends. Yes Tashi def knew they were into each other that why she kept saying that she wasn’t a home wrecker and assumed they did something together. Then gave them the green light to kiss each other, great reaction ❤
