I struggle with scrupulosity and I always feel anxious about confession/possible invalidation etc... but the way you speak about it, idk why, it's really comforting

How uplifting! A good Confession is like a glass of cold water on a hot day, when you are parched. If you have questions about the level of detail strictly required, which is often a source of much scrupulously, ask a very orthodox priest. It's often not as much as you might think, though Amber makes a great point regarding specifically naming a sin.

Something that I’ve found helpful in making a good confession is after I have examined my conscience, I pray the rosary asking the Lord to show me anything else that I need to confess, and almost always I’m shown a few more sins. After that I enter the confessional confident that I’m making a good confession.

This was a great video! Thank you for the info about general confession. I had strayed from the faith for a while and didn't know that was an option for me, and so I actually did go on an average week day. My priest was wonderful - didn't rush, and was so welcoming and warm. While not the POINT of confession, it was a great experience and I highly encourage anyone who feels they need to go but are too nervous to set up an appointment - GO! Go whenever you can, God is waiting with open arms.

I am a convert (grew up Baptist) and my first confession was by appointment. The only other time it was by appointment is when my priest visited me in the hospital on Christmas Day in between the Mass times and visiting his mother (who I have met beforehand). I try to go to confession about every three-six weeks. However, I tend to go to my priest/pastor and very rarely with any other priest.

I am so grateful I found this channel. You are an inspiration to Gen Z’ers like me who crave meaning and purpose in life, especially in a post modern and secular society. Keep doing what your doing and never feel discouraged. May God bless you and know of my prayers for you.

Praise be Jesus Christ for guiding me to your channel 🙏 I've been wanting to go to TLM for some time now but i know I'm not worthy and I need to set up a general confession before taking Holy communion. You have no idea how helpful this was for me. I've been crying on and off for days in the hopes of getting back to our Holy Father ❤️🔥🙏

It’s good to see a young person still in the church. I strayed from the faith in my twenties and I’ve actually fully returned in 2019 in my 70’s. I never went to another faith or stopped going to Mass or confession but I wasn’t a full time Catholic.

In German there are 7 B-words (I hope my translation is correct) 1) beten (pray) 2) besinnen (reflect) 3) bereuen (regret) 4) bekennen (confess) 5) bitten um Verzeihung (ask for forigveness) 6) bessern (improve) 7) büßen (atone)

Hey Amber-Rose thank you for making another video on confession! Some of your expressions in this video reminded me of Father Mike schmitz's. listening to his BIY podcast makes you feel extra confident & joyful about the faith doesn't it? At least for me it did 😀 God bless

I've only been to confession once and that was at an Anglican church because I was raised protestant. Right now I daren't even go there because I'm living in sin. We want to marry but currently can't afford to. I feel bad about it but it's necessary. We live together because my boyfriend is disabled and we both have mental health issues. So we need each others support. Sometimes life is complicated.

Hello, great video! I have one question though that might be off topic. I am 20 and have been Baptized and I’ve received my First Communion, however, I have not gone through Confirmation yet. Can I still get Confirmed and is it a sin to receive the Eucharist while not being Confirmed. I still go to confession regularly.

What if you never been to confession? The last time I was in church was when I was baptized as a baby...

Then you would need to go through something called RCIA and get your First Communion and Confirmation through the church, call your local parish they usually always have a program going or starting

AMBER I HAVE A QUESTION. IN LUKE 6:21 JESUS SAYS BLESSED ARE THE POOR FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD. DOES THIS MEAN THAT ALL POOR PEOPLE WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD?

i heard that some sins cant be forgiven is that true? matthew 12:31-32 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come

That's the sin of not trusting God can forgive your sin or better known as dispair. But dispair is a false idea every kind of sin can be forgiven by God
