As far as I am concerned, you are the only pilot that knows how to start an engine properly, (other than me). Love your series amd you do a great job.

Felt like you were speaking right to me in the introduction there. Yet another great video! P.s. I have transitioned to a 2019 SR20 with the Perspective + myself and will be finishing my instrument training and doing my check ride in it.

good luck on that check ride! Cheers-Ren

Great flying, Ren. I see a steep and improving learning curve. You're becoming a master of the avionics !!

Love your videos. I fly the same model plane after a 22 NA. The toughest thing for me was transitioning the throttle management at landing. Very different with the composite prop. You do a great job! Keep them coming.

Sorry for the late replay. I've only really flown one other plane than the Cirrus 22T and it was alot more forgiving on the throttle mgmt front. I could pull all the power out and it would float to the ground. You definitely have to pay attention and have a soft touch all the way down in the Cirrus. For me the key is to get it close to the ground and then look down to the end of the runway and keep the nose there as I gently and smoothly pull out the power. When you do that it feels great. When you don't the good news is that the landing gear on the Cirrus can handle a little plopper pretty well. Cheers-Ren

Great trip, you do a great job of conveying information, this is very helpful as I have interest in my IFR rating. Suggestions, additional cameras of outside, additional zoom in camera of glass panels to see display. Great job, enjoy these! Thanks.!

Excellent. Great tips, and you make it easy to learn. I remember my first instrument work. Unfortunately due to medical and an injury I haven't flown in awhile. And, I have never flown a glass cockpit. I hope to have my medical back in the spring and it looks like I get to start all over again. I don't have a clue about how to use that panel and everything it can do but damn it looks like it makes thing easier in a lot of ways and I can learn. Thank you.

Are you looking at Pitch Power setting in the POH @18:32?? I love your confidence during your flights. Could be a 10000 hour ATP :) Thanks again for your KZbin channel! I just bought a SR22T and working on my IFR rating.

Steve, Love flying with you. Any chance of more readable shots of the panel? Your explanations are great, but it would be valuable to be able to tie them into the panel for speeds, altitude, headings, and autopilot settings. Thanks, Dave

Absolutely. I typically use 4 cameras including one mounted to my chest which gets a very clear view of the instruments. Unfortunately that camera did not work properly on this flight.

Good video, Ironically the 1st Cirrus I ever flew was out of Santa Monica while vacationing in California and shot a KZbin video of the Museum of Flying as well. Hate that they will be closing this beautiful airport in a few years.

I laughed when I saw the transcription of your clearance at 1:59. Henderson Exec's identifier isn't normal as it's KHND/HSH. The reason why is Haneda airport in Japan is RJTT/HND. Too bad you're not going to Tokyo!

Watching this one again. Question, for the part of the clearance that said runway heading until LAX315 radial, how did you enter that in Foreflight?
@TheRenBaron4 жыл бұрын
I usually just add the LAX waypoint and set the 315 radial by pushing the OBS button on the PFD, then hit the CRS button on the FMS console and dial in the 315 radial.

My CFI literally hit me in the head and I learned it’s a checklist.. not a do list. Learn the items by heart, do them. Then use the checklist to see that you have done everything :) Everything goes a lot smother if you do so.

Curious to know if you’re going to change airports when Santa Monica closes?? I’m near Hawthorne airport and have noticed more traffic in the last couple of years since the closing was announced?? Or Torrance? Thanks

How did you enter the LAX 315 radial into ForeFlight?
@TheRenBaron5 жыл бұрын
I enter the LAX VOR fix into Foreflight along with the rest of the clearance and then I transfer it to the FMS wirelessly. Once the flight plan is in the FMS I use OBS mode to enter the 315 as the radial for the LAX waypoint.
