Wood pads are nice under the poles as well so you can ratchet a tent tight without poles sinking into ground

Where can we purchase wood pads?
@justjosh82883 жыл бұрын
@@TheLifeofJenelle you cut them from 3/4 plywood. Make them 4x4 for sidepoles. And 6x6 for center poles. It’s cheap and it’s effective. I was a large festival event foreman for over 10 years. Any other tips or tricks or or questions you have, let me know. I love renting but my body just couldn’t keep up anymore.
@TheLifeofJenelle3 жыл бұрын
@@justjosh8288 thank you. I am going to screen shot your instructions. I am new to renting. I just started a KZbin video to show my journey. I told myself I want to open a venue for customers to have their baby showers etc. I know the rental side will make up for any shortcomings. I would be honored to ask you questions. Your expertise is extremely valuable. I am a mother of 5 children and I pray my children will benefit from my business in the future even if they hire someone to manage it well.

Would you consider yourself a vendor or event planner? Tried applying for a job doing what you're doing and even how the center pole is done is how I figured it was put together. Ended up not being chosen.

Good going on the tent. I've been told if you put a half twist in the ratchet the wind won't flap the webbing as much. You tried that?
@therentalguy4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. That’s why I make these videos (one of the reasons anyway). I haven’t tried the twist but I will definitely give it a go. I’m eager to learn and grow.
@pizzahut2353 жыл бұрын
If the tent is tensioned properly no need to twist. It’s literally just proper tensioning. With pole tents you usually set the stakes the same length of the pole to give a proper hold. To close in the stakes can pull out with wind. Too far out there is pull but no hold. Like I said just proper tensioning

I noticed you beginning measurement was 50' x 70'. Is that what you need ?
@laketansi6 ай бұрын
50'x70' would be for a 40'x60' tent. Allow 10' (5' per side) extra for staking....although this tent doesn't look like a 40'x60'. More like a 20'x40'.

re 3:35 The line should be lashed to the bottom section of the center poles, or a gust could lift the top segment(s) leaving the bottom segment to topple and the upper to flail & impale.
