Man my heart goes out to you, mom. I am the mother of 3 Marine sons and my late husband was also a Marine (not killed in action). My oldest was in Iraq and for seven months I was on pins and needles the entire time! Every time I heard a knock at the door, my heart skipped a beat until I knew who it was. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Losing someone in your family is the hardest thing to deal with. I lost my dad in 2009, miscarried my first in 2010, lost my husband in 2016, lost my 17 year old niece in 2018, miscarried my second in 2018, lost my 35 year old niece in 2019, lost my mom in 2019, lost my brother in 2023. I've also lost a son and have pursued this type of communication over 9 years. If family does it more than once they'll eventually come to understand the "dead" are really still here and there's nothing to fear or mourn. We plan these events together with our soul family before each incarnation when it doesn't seem like a big deal, rather an opportunity to grow spiritually. This is not something to "believe" - just like when Columbus found the world was round - it wasn't a matter of believing him- but eventually it became common knowledge through time and experience. Plenty of info out there in books, on KZbin... but when you lose a child some people gain the ability to focus on it long enough to make sense of it all. You might like the simple books of Concetta Bertholdi - Can Dead People See you in the Shower... as a start.
