Great documentary. I only began watching Real Madrid towards the last few years of Guti’s career. I thought he was amazing but I noticed some Real fans weren’t as impressed as I was. I didn’t know that he didn’t get to actually play in the UCL finals, which is a cruel injustice and heartbreak I maintain Guti is one of the most gifted players ever, and many of his assists are otherworldly. I think with the passage of time more people will realize what an exceptional talent Guti was.

The beggining is wrong, Guti was never a Barcelona fan. That picture at 0:34 is from a small amateur tournament with friends, where a Barcelona supporters association offered them to play that tourney under their name, but he was already a Real Madrid fan. He just wanted to play a few games for fun there

Guti is probably the most magical player that Spain never had, i mean his master pass assist are unique, like Zidanes rulette or Romario scoring, his assist where unique to him. It is a shame the lack of continuity so he could maybe do the same in the Spanish Squad, but talent as Guti, is like wild fire, you cannot cage it, or tame it, it runs wild for good and bad. Imagine a guy who could shine in the field, with the likes of Ronaldo, Cristiano, Benzema, Kaka, Zidane, Figo, this is no easy feat, and he did it . Football wise he is one of those so called Magicians, Footballers so rare you can only see them once or twice every 40 years. Is not about goals scored or number of assists, it is about the quality of them, he is just a Magician.

Guti for me is the best Real Madrid player i've seen, top 3 easily with Ronaldo (Brazilian) and Michael Laudrup. Such a creative player, you put a prolific finisher up front and Guti will feed him goal after goal. Forget Zidane, i'd rather Guti in my centre midfield alongside a ball winner like N'golo Kante and i'm a happy manager! Elegant player with great vision and unforgettable passes. I was at the Bernabeu when he flicked that back heel to Zizou for his only ever hat trick against Sevilla. He definitely was not better than Modric. He didn’t have the lungs Modric has. He couldn’t do it consistently for 90 minutes. He also had a tendency to miss some wide open shots. Just trying to give a fair analysis.

I asked for a Guti vidoe a long time cos he's one of my favourites passers of the ball. 1. Beckham 2. Pirlo 3. Guti 4. Schloes 5. Xavi 6. Iniesta 7. Messi 8. Ronaldinho 9. Ozil 10. Silva 11. Lampard 12. Gerrard 13. Riqueleme 14. Hazard 15. KDB Now, these aren't my rankings. It's just how I remember them. However, one thing for sure. KDB is at the bottom of this list for me. He's a great passer but all these guys have been way better. There's no competition for him like there isn't for CR7, Messi. These days we can name a handful of players but back in the day every team was strong. You couldn't name a handful, you'd rather talk about the team.

Also, CR is a great athlete, just not a great footballer. He was outstanding in MU but then his switch in position and terrible ego made him an awful player with many goals scored.
