I just painted my stripes green with acrylic paint just dry brushing on layers until it looked good it came out great and looks so much better

This figure doesn't look bad to me. The hat would bug me at times but even if you take the hat off you can make it go a little lower or get a different hat. Could also use some red gloss paint... Altogether I like Sideshow and feel they did a good job. It's good to see Freddy keeps in shape also. Since I'm getting into sixth scale picking up my first one this week. This guy will be on my list as well. Thanks as always Spot.

Man, I wish Hot Toys made a Freddy figure... My favorite horror character of all time but this figure doesn't quite nail it for me. I ended up going with the 1/4 NECA Elm Street 3: Dream Warrior edition...

You and me both, Hot Toys doesn't see a market for Horror Collectibles and won't produce them, just think if they did though we probably would see alternate heads, scene specific accessories etc, Freddy does deserve better than this

Man that'd be the coolest figure, I agree. I have some hope with their Pennywise but not much hope. maybe when marvel burns out on everyone, hot toys can find breathing room to consider other movie characters like they used to before mcu got bigger

@@fredbrooks7529 oh I could have worded that better, I meant I have hope in their pennywise figure in that I hope if it sells well hot toys will branch out and make more horror characters but not much hope they'll make other horror characters because they usually only do new movies. Only old movies they've done were back to the future. I'm definitely getting that pennywise figure, looks awesome

Great review and a beautiful piece, but how they got the coloring of the back plate and finger stalls so wrong I don't know. That head sculpt also says 'Elm St. 4' to me rather than 3.

Freddy Krueger looks really good and he has a nice sculpt to him. The figure is nicely detailed. The clothing has some nice stitch work. However, as you've already mentioned, there are a few issues in regards to the Fedora, the skin tone and the shade of green that was utilized for the sweater. The Fedora is a bit too dark. It sits too high on his head. For some odd reason, Sideshow decided to sculpt the Fedora onto Freddy's head, instead of having it as a separate piece. The skin tone should've had a warmer complexion instead of being gray. The green for the sweater is way too dark. They are definitely issues that bring down the quality of the figure overall. Otherwise, thanks again Spot. I really appreciate it!

I like him. It has some minor flaws, but I just bought one and plan to do some painting and it will take care of the issues you pointed out.

the sweater is actually correct. Freddy didnt originally have green, as it was black to begin with. thats not a problem

Sorry...thats not correct, Craven from the beginning specifically chose that colour red and colour green based on where they were on the colour spectrum and the two colours that would be hardest on the eyes to process..the stripes were never black

Yea sideshow figures are ok, but they consider high collectibles but . Hot toys, inart, JND studios, iron studios. These guys produce many great figures but also amazing statues too .

He's cool I use to watch his movies alot when I was younger but not so much anymore and yes I agree with his color it needs to be changed. I love that measuring tape where it tells you what you measure. Where can I get one like that? I need one to measure my dolls I have to. Okay bye and peace out.

What a disappointment. Obviously there was very little care put into producing this figure. For the price, there should AT LEAST be another head sculpt included. Neca's 1/12 scale figures have more to offer for a tenth of the price. Obviously Neca doesnt have the soft goods on the ultimate Freddy figures, but if the soft goods are done badly, Id rather not have them anyways. Sideshow really cheaped out on a very expensive figure. Unacceptable. Sik
