Duo probably wins. Better artillery, or at least what can be assumed to be better artillery as he fought against the country of Floptropica to a stalemate by himself, and he apparently gets Roblox and Angry Birds scaling. Even if the last two aren’t true, his fight against the Floptropican army pretty much gives him the win. Despite Wilkins’ better hax, this fight pretty much starts and ends at “Duo pulls out an AK-47.”

Duo, because of Floptok of all things, was able to fend off the entire country of Floptropica by himself. Sure, he didn’t win but he also didn’t lose. And Floptropica has things like fighter jets, tanks, and guns. If he has anything that can stand up to that, he probably can 1-shot Wilkins given he hasn’t shown durability above a normal person and last time I checked, tanks can kill people pretty easily.

@ Doesn’t really matter. It’s not going to work fast enough to save Wilkins from a missile or a bullet. While it has shown to harm people who don’t drink Wilkins coffee, Duolingo’s bullets, or whatever he used to fight off Floptropica, are likely faster given that people can survive until adulthood without dying to this force. Unless babies in their universe drink coffee, this force doesn’t seem very strong or fast.

Hello, and welcome to my next commission, Wilkins VS Duo! Somewhere early last year after my first commission, I was re-watching some Wilkins Coffee commercials, and I thought it would be funny if these two mascots fought, so I decided to commission this match up. Connections are admittedly a little loose, but I still they're similar enough to make sense, and I think it's a really fun match. Two animal mascots, with cute and friendly looking exteriors, but also with a sadistic side. They will threaten, torture, maim or even just straight up kill you for not using their product (though with difference, as Wilkins will do so for not drinking Wilkins Coffee/not using the other products he advertises, and Duo does so if you don't do your lessons on Duolingo). The title is named after this comparison as well. I wasn't sure what to do for the music, as neither character really had actual songs to work with (aside from "Spanish or Vanish" or other songs from Duolingo on Ice, but that wasn't out when I was making this commission), but when making this commission, I thought about how Wilkins was a mascot from the 50s from a product that doesn't even exist anymore, and how Duo is for an app for a smartphone, which is a more future-esque thing, and I really liked that contrast. So, I thought a combination of 1950s Rock and Roll and some electronic music (apparently, Glitch Hop is the name of the genre), with some more menacing tones would be fitting for them. The reference tracks I used were "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley, for the Rock and Roll, and "Unity" by TheFatRat, which may be an oddball choice, but it had the Glitch Hop Techno genre that fit for what I had in mind, so I used it. I also used this as an opportunity to make my own art for the commission. I don't really draw much, but I figured with a match like this, and the idea for the art I had in my head, I could do it. I think it came out pretty good. Thanks you to Therewolf for making this track. I really like how it sounds!

Duo fought off the entire country of Floptropica’s army by himself. Not only is Floptropica’s army armed with tanks, firearms, fighter jets and a ton of other weapons but they also had already won a war before, specifically against Da Boyz. Wish I was kidding. If he has anything that stacks up to that, he could just 1-shot Wilkins before he can erase him from existence. Can’t erase someone from existence if you have a bullet in your skull.

Duo is strong, but he quite literally has no way to counter Wilkins saying something bad happening to duo, or straight up erasing him just by saying he doesn't exist. @ Not all fate manipulation is the same. If I change someone’s fate to “they stub their toe tomorrow” then I just changed fate but it’s not impressive at all. Wilkins’ fate manipulation is not going to save him from a tank. And same goes for existence erasure. He’s getting 1-shot before he can do anything. He’s slower than a bullet. You can actually argue Duo can dodge bullets because of the whole “Floptropica war” thing. Either that or he has defenses strong enough to withstand their artillery. Either way, he has the speed advantage. Bullets beat out Wilkins reaction speed. He’s getting shot, if not worse, before he can react.

While they're not my favorite MUs, I certainly always am looking forward to a good joke matchup that results in a song that goes quite hard still. I'll say, I was expecting the usual "joke song turns out to be ultra serious and agressive" for this song but it certainly was a pleasant surprise to listen to it and end up with something that's still serious but edges more so on an epic energetic and over the top side more so than a brutal and agressive one. I mean, sure, it still has plenty of extra-serious segments (IE: 1:40-2:00) but those more so add to the funky atmosphere than make it feel outright horror-like or similar. And in my opinion that actually betters the song by making it sound more unique; it has that funky, jazzy feel of old cartoons to represent Wilkins' side but also the more outright energetic and upbeat feeling you'd expect for Duolingo, both of them combined to result into something that's quite dynamic and appreciable in the best of ways. It fits really well the theme of both the Wilkins Coffee ads and Duolingo memes of being "Look at those cute and funny mascots asking you to do something, you wouldn't dare to betray their trust, *_right ?_* " without going too over the top in the wrong ways. Now while I really like this song and think it's catchy as all hell, I will however admit that the ending starting at 3:15 feels kinda abrupt in how it finishes. Everything about it sounds good but it just kinda... Ends ? It feels like it's missing one last segment where stuff truly hits the fan and instead just ends prior to said segment which is a bummer. But oh well, it's not like it ruins the song or anything like that so I can let it pass for sure, just a small detail I'd have found cool to be improved upon. Overall this track is pretty much everything it should be and that's very nice. It's catchy, makes you want to listen to it more, includes every side of the characters that should be included in content featuring them and above all it just sounds really freaking cool. Not much else to say really, it's a nice track. Amazing job as always with this for sure.

I personally think Wilkins absolutes stomps here, given his OP magic abilities (e.g. making Wotkins disappear instantly in two commercials), access to all sorts of weapons and vehicles (e.g. he’s summoned a large train full of Wilkins coffee); and especially his fourth wall powers (a bunch of the Wilkins Coffee commercials involve Wotkins being killed/injured by an offscreen human after he rejects the product). But I’m absolutely willing to be proven wrong if someone can tell me that the Duolingo Owl has performed similar/higher feats.

Of course, this is provided that the war you’ve mentioned is indeed truly canon to the Duolingoverse. Unfortunately, as far as I’m concerned, even if we’re being super generous and grant that Duolingo Owl has power equivalent to a country’s entire military - let’s be even more generous here and say that Floptropica’s army is on par with Russia or the United States - this doesn’t really mean much against Wilkins ridiculously OP fourth wall powers. Another good example of this trump card would be the commercial where “Mr. Wilkins” (i.e. the brand that Wilkins loves to shove down Wotkin’s poor throat) literally blew up the set that the puppets were being played on because Wotkins said he was tired of doing those ads.

@ Oh Duo didn’t have an army. The war was between Floptropica and Duo specifically. As in, the bird himself. Nobody else. Also, I wouldn’t say that Wilkins has fourth wall breaking abilities. He’s canonically a muppet that exists within the muppet universe. Humans also canonically exist as seen with Gary, Walter’s older brother. While we don’t know exactly what those human hands are, (bodyguards, hired assassins, summons, who knows) I’d say it’s a bit far fetched to say that it’s a fourth wall breaking ability. As for Mr Wilkins, I’m pretty sure he’s a separate entity from Wilkins. Sure, they share a name, but they’re separate entities. Are there other examples of Wilkins himself doing other fourth wall breaking things?

Depends. Wilkins has the hax advantage while Duo should have the stat advantage. I’m more inclined towards Duo winning because I don’t think Wilkins has ever reacted to guns, or whatever Duo used to fight Floptropica which is a whole entire country, meaning that Duo could technically speed blitz. Yes, he fought a war against a country to basically a stalemate. We don’t know what he used in said war but it’s definitely enough to kill Wilkins.

@ That gun isn’t impressive compared to what the Floptropican army has. They’ve got military grade weaponry. From machine guns, to fighter jets, to war boats, the Floptropican army far outclasses Wilkins in firepower. Duo was able to somehow fight Floptropica to a stalemate. Duo could handle an army by himself, he can handle a simple handgun. As for Wilkins fate manipulation, it’s not that powerful. It’s never shown anything close to letting him survive multiple bullets, let alone a tank round, barraging him. There’s not much Wilkins can do against artillery strong enough to fend off an army.
