In the market where I live the top spec car comes with Assisted Parking ( Self Parking).First car in the price point that I have seen. Additionally my daughter has the previous model for nearly a year now and it has been flawlessly reliable.

T-Cross servicing is $2850 over five years or 75,000km for prepaid. That’s not that much more than a Kia Seltos, and in fact it actually costs less if you are doing 15,000 km per year.

..I just sold our 2021 Subaru Outback because it's driver annoyance technology was mostly dysfunctional, and the procedure for deactivating it at every start up was simply too involved and cumbersome. I could have tolerated if it worked as intended, but full braking at 110kM because it imagined a collision is bloody ridiculous, and did my head in.

Matt, I am in total agreement with you on the issue of really badly calibrated safety systems. I had a long term deposit on an MG4. What killed it for me in respect to that car was just how badly calibrated that car's system was, it binged, bonged, ponged, and jerked the steering ad nauseum. The thought of driving that car daily buried my interest. Why do you continue to suggest it's a great budget buy? Further, why don't those mandating these systems do something about the standards delivered? To have system so bad that all a user wants to turn them off each and every time they drive the car, or worse, consider the warning a little like the boy who cried wolf. Manufacturers, authorities, please do something proactive in terms of car companies that pay lip service to safety akin to a box ticking exercise. If you don't, you risk the opposite outcome to what you are striving for.

Hi Matt this model offers both rake and reach adjustment for the steering wheel which you always used to comment on in most of your reviews but not in this one. Also swiping right directly on the infotainment screen takes you straight to climate adjustments, fan speed etc. Appreciate you cannot cover everything. I might consider this for a next vehicle but would have to overcome a few of the bug bears that you covered here. Cheers.

I've been really attracted to the new havals and I'm still just a little aprehensive of them. I'm American and have recently moved to New Zealand and havent really ever heard of them until just recently. I love how they look, the price, and I've even driven a few H6s as rentals. I'm just concerned of the longevity of the vehicle as there are very mixed reviews out there. I have also seen several used ones for sale with just under 30,000kms and it really makes me wonder why they've been returned so new. Cheers to everyone, I'd really like to hear some pros and cons.

As an owner of Jolion Hybrid for the 2 years and use it as a daily driver in Aus, we also have a Tank 300 Hybrid. I would say don't think twice in buying these. Best value for money and the tech you get is not available at this price band. This channel and Aussies in general got a bit of chinaphobia, so skip past that and go take a test drive and see for yourself. The tech he's talking about is pretty good, you just need to know how to use it and understand it's quirks and limitations. The ones you see with under 30ks are probably just off lease cars and good value to buy. About the longevity, you buy one, keep it for seven year and swap it for other one. I haven't had any problem so far, except the back door latch being a bit temperamental, which got fixed at the first service.

Dings the lower trim levels of the Haval for missing some stuff; Completely omits the fact that all the Japanese and German alternatives are utterly gutted in comparison at the same price. Are missing things no trim options will bring back, like rear air vents, and not really any more reliable in the CVT+Direct Injection era. Sorry love your videos, but the gulf in kit is like the grand canyon in some of these comparisons, and you wouldnt grasp how wide from your videos.

This review did not provide anything new except the same gripes from the previous model and how we should be buying Toyota. What was the point exactly? You mentioned it has no tailgate. People have been able to open their boots for years without any problems. What's changed now? You have mentioned before that you did not like how big the badge was on the back, however you make no mention of the new one. I'm so done hearing about Toyota. If I wanted a Toyota I would go out and buy one. You had the car for 2 days and this is what you came up with. What a disappointment.

Yeah for those who are actually interested in this fantastic facelift Jolion (in China we call the facelift as Chitu赤兔 and Jolion as 初恋 which we make fun at cuz 初恋 literally means ‘first love/crush’ and if you wanna borrow your friend’s Jolion it’s gonna get embarrassing😂, but Chitu and Jolion are sold in China as separate vehicle models), please refer to some honest channels like Jerrypan & Cars where you can explicitly perceive how powerful the acceleration is with very subtle differences under different road conditions. You also get good HUD and can change how loose or tight the electric steering is via the touchscreen and it really makes a good difference and I am sure that Aussies are gonna get used to them over time as everyone in China is getting used to that for many years already and ofc Aussies are not different to Chinese for being human beings ig😅. If you wanna try some voice recognition tech then go for the H6 or the Tank series (Tank 300 & 500 are so good with those tech) cuz apparently even the top spec Jolion the Ultra Hybrid doesn’t get these fancy stuff, but other than that the Jolion is a very good fit-for-purpose compact hybrid suz for its price, size and quality and I am sure there is gonna be some distinct personality reflected from the car that will make a much sharper contrast to those pathetic Japanese hybrids.

@jimmyhan4650 2 ай бұрын
@@RodneyW Hi mate are these the only things you can think of? No spare tyres on most hybrids sold here in oz is definitely very common and this is only a compact suz and not only that this facelift Jolion has a very very compromising, competitive and comfortable back space with plenty of leg room and head room even for a tall passenger, its boot after fully expanded the tailgate will guarantee a ~300L of space which many reviewers have missed out unfortunately. Get more homework done before commenting back mate😅

I’m a bit disappointed that you focused so much on the technology. Can I give a few pointers please spend more time on how the car drives & what it is like to live with. All the technology crap such as infotainment screens or electric boots (really) is it necessary if the thing drives like a design washing machine. I personally could not care about what sort of infotainment screen or whether it has a sunroof, if it rides & handles like crap then that’s end of the matter. Everything else is a secondary concern. Ride & handling are the most important things. The car has to be good a being a car! All the other bling is window dressing. most Chinese cars fail dismally at ride & handling. You can give me all the bells & whistles you like if it fails at being a decent car to drive then what is the point. I am getting incredibly sick of all this technology that is stuffed into cars which we don’t need. It will also be a nightmare to repair in 3-5 years time when they will breakdown not if but when. Less is more in my opinion.
@therightcar
@therightcar 2 ай бұрын
Far out, you're hard to please. The drive experience is VERY MUCH influenced by the tech. No-one apart from enthusiasts care about ride and handling, and let me tell you, if you're an enthusiast there's a bloody good chance you're not buying a Haval.
@anakinskywalker4113

@@therightcar I disagree a lot of people care about ride & handling. A car must be good at the fundamentals that is being comfortable over a variety of roads & not leaning like a boat around corners. If it cannot do the fundamentals all that well then why would you buy it. I’m sorry but I disagree about the technology side, Most of it is unnecessary all the buzzing & bongs are ridiculous. We do not need the nanny state telling us how to drive (personal opinion). Less tech stuff more about what the car is like in every day conditions does it stand up to family life etc.

@@therightcar oh and by the way the technology has zero influence on how the car rides or how the suspension deals with bumps. I’m taking about basic mechanical engineering!
