Just started working with chainmail. Your work is very easy to see. Excellent instructions!

I telescope the fivelet stage by making a length of chain of alternating double and single rings. Just as she's doing, but more of it. Then I smooth out this chain in a narrow ribbon of 2 links 1 link 2 1 2 1 . . . ending with 2, for convenience seeing the 4-1 pattern.

Does the purple resist dragon fire?

I dislike to pick the mail up at this beginning stage of a piece because links can flop out of position, causing confusion until you've got it sorted again. Work it entirely on the tabletop, sliding the links up to the piece edge you're adding to.

Found the triangle tutorial very difficult to follow.
@w.reidripley1968 Жыл бұрын
Try starting out with however many links in a row that will be the base of your triangle. Now link these links together with the next row of links down into the triangle -- but one link less in this row, so your triangle is starting to taper. Now cast on the next row of links, again with one link fewer to that row. And so on down to one single link at the apex of the triangle. Done! Then do whatever you have in mind with your triangle.
