From all the things I’ve learnt and collected about IR/Thermal along with standard camouflage it’s best to do the following: 1) apply standard camouflage principles towards enemy; which always includes using natural foliage and terrain of the immediate area to your advantage. 1.1) Rather than breaking off foliage, if possible and practical just transplant the whole plant/plants into the earth where it needs to be if there is none there already. The reason is that dead foliage can look different to living. Keep the top dirt layer for the top when finished blending it all back together in the new location. Keep the plants aligned in the original direction of growth. Hide the sites you removed the plants from with whatever is in the immediate area. 2) make sure all standard naked eye camo is also IR compliant. 3) apply thermal techniques _behind_ your standard IR camo to hide the reflectivity of it. (Silver side towards occupants of hide) 4) keep a gap between the standard/IRR and the thermal layer of an inch or more to allow for air flow as the Thermal layer must _always_ be kept at ambient temperatures. It must never come into contact with a person, engine, etc. They can built on frames and lashed together. Keep all lashings behind IR/Thermal as if it isn’t IR compliant the cordage itself will glow. Combine them all and you can become completely invisible. The catch to this is that this only works in a small camp or hide setting where you basically build a stucture around yourself and all your gear. An alternative is to build the above mentioned framed hides in front of a small cave entrance and stay in there. You would need two frames in this case as one needs to partially cover the other to allow entrance but no visibility of the thermal materials behind the IRR camo and foliage from any angle; including above. The entrance hide is built kind of in the shape of a warped Z without the / part of the Z so you can walk through it.

Well done Clarise. Thermal imaging is something that is now very common. Drones , cameras and hunting gear now have this as an option. I think if your being hunted by drones and an organized group with thermal scopes…. You may have to ditch the car or thermally hide it if you have the time. It would be slow and difficult to get away from thermal drones and thermal scopes. In cold climate areas, thermal tracking is something that law enforcement use for search and rescue. It would be fun to see a video of you and your group of friends doing a live practice drill off thermal tracking someone who has to get to point B.

Good Evening Clarissa, I have been waiting ever since you mentioned you were making this video, you presented a lot of really good information here. The hide behind glass got me thinking. I also wanted to say you just broke a Hollywood myth from the original Predator movie where Arnold Schwarzenegger discovers he can hide from the Predator by covering himself in mud. As I figure it, the mud could work when its first applied but as the mud dries from your body heat the mud would dry and become the same temp as your body. This drives further your point that as long as your cover is away from your body the better cover it will make. Taking this into consideration then to cover your vehicle would mean using tarps that could cover and overlap each other allowing air gaps between the edges to allow any heat to escape while rising and not collect on the tarps to warm them. Could this also be done for hiding a campfire? Place a tarp over a fire high enough to not melt or heat up the tarp? It would also seem a good idea to cover the tarps with light branches to break up the solid square or overall shape created with multiple tarps. I have to admit I was very surprised by how quickly the tarps adjusted to your hand temp even finger tips. Lotta food for thought here. Thank you for posting this information. Your videos are fantastic.

Hi Robert, thanks for having suggested including a vehicle in the experiment. If trying to hide a camp fire I would build a Dakota fire pit to start with as a lot of the heat will be distributed into the ground and not rise so much to the tarp covering. Branches are a great idea. Thanks for watching. C

@@LiveReady Oh YES! I completely forgot about the Dakota Fire pit, That would do very nicely. Its also closer to being smokeless to prevent a visual indication someone is using a campfire.

Very good clarise. I have heard if you wrap yourself in an emergency blanket you cant be seen tic cameras, but would suggest they are not military vrade, more civilian useage.
@LiveReady3 ай бұрын
Hi Kurt, if you're referring to thermal cameras the emergency blanket will eventually be heated by your body temp and give off a signature. C

That cheap emergency blanket actually worked better than the first two did at masking the transmitted heat, and it dispersed it much faster upon no contact.
@robertedwards77493 ай бұрын
I noticed that as well, I am wondering if it was because the first tarp she used was thicker or a heavier material? The thinner material would radiate off any heat it contacted faster. Just a thought.
@witcher19733 ай бұрын
@@robertedwards7749 It will definitely loose heat faster as it thinner, but she did double layer it before touching it and i noticed no heat transfer even on the front, where as with the other two it was just about immediately visible upon touching. So i don't think the thickness had much to do with it, besides retaining the heat longer.
@LiveReady3 ай бұрын
I think it's the material that doesn't retain heat to start with. The cheaper one is basically a layer of shiny plastic with a layer of green plastic. The other two are combinations of plastic and other fabrics. C

I would build a Dakota fire pit and put a tarp quite high up, ensure good ventilation so it doesn't get heated by the fire. 👍👍

Hey sister in Christ. I love your channel. Ive been into survival for years. I felt the lord telling me to mention to you something about pre-trib raputure. Irenaeus was a early church father. His teacher was polycarp, and his teacher was John the apostle. If you go through the whole of irenaeus's work, you will see he believed in pre-trib. It was the position of the early church. If you want to look into this more please watch pre-tribulation before darby 1 and 2 on youtube. If you want the scripture more cleared up on this issue, i recommend calvary chapel ontario's book of revaltion study and book of daniel study on KZbin. I say this in love and I hope its taken that way. Please keep making great videos and let us know if we can pray for you.
