A slide show with some commentary of what is happening to put things in context would be cool. Especially if it is a particular project from start to finish.

Fifty years ago, i worked as a fitter in a quarry in West Wales. I was fortunate enough to see a "home made" thermal lance in operation. i worked with two great welders, the elder one Selwyn had always wanted to show his mate how to make a thermal lance! The opportunity came when they needed to cut a hole through a heavily armed concrete slab, I've never forgotten it, but, unfortunately never had the opotunity to do it myself! All the best, Matthew

The thermal lancing is spectacular. Seeing you hit with a blizzard of molten metal drops, and coming out unscathed had me scared at first. First rate dramatic shots of general interest. If you think it's worth your time to do, these kind of shots are great, but people would go away feeling like they learned something interesting if you were to do a voiceover where you explain about thermal lancing. And tell us what to look for. Thermal lancing because it's so spectacular might be something that would have general appeal, beyond your usual machinist audience. By the way thank you for all the work putting these together.

The variety of projects you work on is why I subscribed. :) Your voiceovers are good too, explaining the work and how the piece / machine is used by the customer. Slideshows of projects or types of work make for great content. Just pace yourself. You said you had a ton of photos laying around. That keeps us looking forward to the next video! Cheers from the U.S.

A nice variation on a theme . I think a few short ish slideshows with a variety to test the water would be a good start . As you say you have had a varied amount of work over the years that you have documented so a little taster could be a good idea to gauge the response . Thanks for posting

That Thermal Lance is Terrifying with a Capital T! 😅 Alistair, on the subject of your photos and slides collection, I would recommend that you provide a narration of the job and highlight any points of interest. I find that your narration of jobs is better than having to read comments because you speak at a reasonable rate and reading comments can be tricky to time correctly as well as possibly obscuring part of the process. Perhaps start with a compilation slide video. If it is announced as a narrated slide video then whingers can get knotted! Take the comments off the compilation video as a guide for your next slide video subject. You are working with large industrial machinery that the average dude never gets to see at work or in pieces being repaired or rebuilt, so having you explain just how is going on is for the most part vital. Your major project at work sounds like a right doozy! 300 kg of welding wire and probably a full pallet of7 bottled water. 😂 Keep up with the good work! Mark from Melbourne Australia

I would appreciate a slide show with a wee bit of information on the context of the pictures but it's a lot of work for you. But you could do just a massive slideshow with numbered pictures and have subscribers vote for the pictures that they want more information on 👍 And you can make a video talking about the top 100 pictures. That would give you less work and keep most people happy and shake up your subscribers and maybe even get a few more subscribers 🤔👍

I don't get any revenue from those I depend on the extra pocket money
I would love to watch about your past projects on the same way you would do if you were recording a current project. Nobody on YT does projects as big as you do, that's were you are strong, focus on quality over quantity. I mean, instead of pretending to upload lots of short videos regularly, with just a few seconds or pictures about lots of projects mixed together... I would prefer THAT single project, about which you have enough recordings, may be mixed with a few related projects about which you have less recordings... so you can explain which are your concerns about that main project, while using the related projects as a back up to explain what we would expect on a normal day on the average procedure... and to fill the gaps on the recording to show the complete process. Record a voice over, and don't fear to be as technical as you wish on your explanations... any thought coming to your mind, if you were doing that project right now... it would be a pleasure to learn about. Edit: Even if we are talking about pictures only, without recordings, you are still able to tell a story about that case and cases like that. On Instagram, they use to tell stories about repairs with just a few pictures of the steps of the process, and without voice over and explanations... so, mean while you give it a sense to the photo montage, and you have something you want to transmit to us with it, it will work. Again, your strengths are not only on the huge projects, but on your technical knowledge and the quality of your explanations. Cheers from Spain. By the way, 300kg of welding wire? I'm gonna love it!? even more, I'm gonna get crazy about it! and replay it many times.
