Good report about this new product. Personally, I like to see my flying objects more balanced. Maybe they put some weight in the rear of the craft to compensate? I know the controller should still fly somewhat unbalanced, but that's where marginal flying conditions come in. Did they say what the new flying times would be with the extra weight?...might matter if used for other than structural stuff.

Agree, that said, the MavicPro have been flown with GoPro's and 360 cameras extensively with surprisingly little flight time loss, this is a far lighter payload, and the transmitter / antennas are on the back of the bird to help balance the load. I suspect it will fly quite well.

Thank you Bo, what a great option to be able to add to the Maric Pro! Still too... pricy but I'm sure that will be changing over the coming year with options becoming available.

Bo, yes you can buy the cube mounts separate, I have them. Right from the Cube company. There thermal is awesome but way out of the reach of the average person. I am a SAR volunteer but way out of my budget. Thanks for the good info.

Hey Stan, great news about the mavic cube mounts. I did a little quick math on the thermal package and seems one could probably buy the parts for 1.5-2k less (including the bird) and simply mount it exteriorly rather than crack the mavic open.

That seems logical. If I buy a Zoom I would be able to do things with my Mavic Pro Platinum without worrying about leaving me without a working drone should I make a mistake. Thanks for all you do.

What purpose use the thermal camara is? Is it like a night vision camara?
@bophoto6 жыл бұрын
It see heat, like uninsulated spots on a roof, or a persons body heat in the desert at night, its not "night vision" which is a light amplification technology
