I was always wondering if there will be a time when the insurance industry would start opening up for drones roof inspection. The rebuttal to that has always been that the drone cannot detect hail damage. This will be great and much safer. I'm claims adjuster and I'm required to climb on top of really steep roofs. I also do home inspection and I'm not required to climb on top of the roof. However I do use my drone to inspect the roof. It work out perfectly.

At first take, I thought that they were charging $4,999.00 per roof, per report. However, then he talks about $49.00 or monthly subscription discount price plus $25.00 per roof. lol

Another prime example of a company making it easier for people who are not in this business to not have to hire professional drone operators they simply use a software that takes absolutely no skill to use pointless. Simply push a button and the drone does all the work anymore on could do that

Hey Garry, its actually a fairly acceptable price point IF you are doing a quantity of jobs, say 10-20 a month. Right now I end up having to create a report for a inspector, what Loveland do, is to largely automate that process, including for the extra $25 create a file with accurate measurements that a solar company can use to layout a installation. you are paying for not having to sit and do this at home in the evening yes, but also one of the benefits is you COULD easily do 5-10 roofs in a afternoon, because the report is automated, the biggest variable is you getting to the next job and having charged batteries. AGREE, its money and big money, but having said this, its also a entry into insurance inspection, as any insurance company demand a very specific set of data in a clear form, Loveland provide this.

Agreed. Insurance companies pay drone pilots $50 or sometimes less per roof (Ive seen some offering as little as $35). So after doing 1 for free (to pay for the software monthly fee), you're handing 50% or more of your earnings to this company. For me that's just not feasible.

So the key here seems to be, if the drone IS your business, you've been commoditized because drone pilots are a dime a dozen anymore. However, if you have a skillset in a trade or industry AND you have a drone to use as a tool (along with what seems like powerful software here), the competitive advantages and financial opportunities become pretty awesome.
