I love your videos. Gives me so much inspiration for my Glider flying. If you have time could you prepare a video on your amazing hand launch technique as well as your stunning hand catch landing technique ? Thank you in advance !

I'll try to make a video about that two topics. Thanks for the idea!

Outstanding flying mate. You could hand toss that glider to 5.3m and save the money from the motor and ESC to buy another glider, well not quite. What it the lowest you have climbed out from is this it or have you done even better thanks. That has to be the best flight {excluding any flight with a smaller span glider} I have ever witnessed from such a low height and I have flown for 45 years. Thanks for showing us your skill and the very efficient modern models we all wish we had in our arsenal.

Thanks for your honoring words! Of course it is also possible to find a thermal out of a hand toss. You can find such a video on my KZbin channel already ;-) I have already recorded an even more difficult thermal soaring flight already. I will upload it in a couple of weeks after some other videos.

@@RCflyingmore I have personally hand tossed a HLG of 1.5 m and specked out many times but never with a glider of the size you are using. I did not think it was possible with larger gliders. Mine are all handmade by me out of balsa. I am retired and do not have the spare cash to through at composite models of the modern type.

Thanks for the video. I always really enjoy your content. I just fly a GP Spectra sort of vintage electric glider so it’s nice to see what something more modern can do. It’s inspiring for us gas-bag fliers.

Present day, 2/23/2023... Which plane do you like more ? The Q4 or the Explorer 5? I ask because I am trying to decide what to buy. I really like how you do acrobatics with your X5 4meter wing. I only have enough money to buy one plane. I have to do it right. I come from 50 yrs of flying gas and electric planes. I had an X1 back in 2017. It was 95 ounces. Even the least aerobatics it seemed to not like it. Also, if landed very fast. I love the way your X5 flying and handles. Where I live in the USA, South Louisiana, currently there are no people flying gliders so no competition except against my self. Is there a plane less expensive than the X5 that will be good at both aerobatics and soaring?

Hi, can I ask you for setup in thermal mode for this very tight thermals? You are using mix of flaps to elevator and mix of flaps to ailerons or not and how much? You have flaps on switch or on are you using variable flaps on knipel? Thank you.

Hi Julian! Nice video again. What is the weight of this model? My two years old Explorer BF 3500 V-tail weights 1205 g.

I haven't put my model on a scale, but should be in the same region

Hi Julian, great video. Why do you prefer 3500 mm wingspan instead of 3800 or 4000 mm?
@RCflyingmore4 жыл бұрын
Hi, i mostly fly the 4000mm Explorer, but each of the wingspand has it benefits. The 3500mm is very agile and for the low level thermal probably the easiest on to fly

@@RCflyingmore Hi, when you will fly more flat, not so hard turns, you can rise height much faster. Look on your video, when you flatten your circles, you rise much faster. Let that plane fly ...
@RCflyingmore3 жыл бұрын
@@Dzordzikk You are of course right, when the thermal is big. But near the ground is the thermal much smaller and the sink area around the thermal can bring you fast in problems
