Hey Damian, I started watching your videos when I was trying to figure out whether it was possibile to use FD lenses on EOS mounts or not. I was wondering if you could make more videos for us poor folks who try to make photography as cheap of a hobby as possible.

Hi bmyshot .photography I'm glad you're watching. Photography on the cheap is really the overall theme of my channel. Even though it may seem like I stray off photography sometimes like with this laptop cooler, it all supports my photography and design business in some way. Let me know you like dslrnerd.com and what I can do better there as well. And please share with your friends. The bigger our community the more I can help. For instance I'm seriously thinking of changing the name to DigiCam Nerd because a lot of newbies don't know what a DSLR is and have a hard time remember the website because of it. That and if I can I'd like to get a mirrorless 4K camera for video this year. Happy new year!

Perhaps you could review old cheap cameras along with old lenses for different types of photography. I'm an architecture student but in my spair time I take photos of basically everything. It would be nice to know for example, what's the least amount of money one would need to get the necessary gear for architecture photography or any other type of photography. As for your blog I think it suffers from the fact that it's in a chronological order. People don't spend that much time on websites anymore, they want something that's flashy and catches their eyes right away. In other words we've gotten too lazy to even click... My blog bmyshot.wordpress.com/ (please have a look) has the same problem. As for your channel name I don't think you should change it. I like it the way it is and the dark humor is very appreciated as well (the scene where you mount the 400mm Soligor on your camera). Happy new year to you too!

bmyshot .photography You inspired me to start a post about gear for all photography budgets, coming soon. I suppose all blogs suffer from chronological order, that's why there are Categories, Tags, and groupings by subject that I have done. "Too lazy to click" yeah, it's because you all got trophies in little league. If I change DSLR NERD to DigiCam Nerd the dark humor will remain. I use lots of camers, iphone, GoPro, and want a Sony A7s and those aren't DSLRs so DigiCam feels more generic and memorable?

I'm glad I finally managed to inspire someone! Not something that happens very often. About that little league thing, you're absolutely right. I'm looking for an EF to EOS adaptor right now. You inspired me to buy some cheapo lenses and test them out. You should title your videos "photography for the poor!"

bmyshot .photography Heh. You should read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand (There's a movie for the lazy) it will build the confidence of any artist. You mean FD to EOS adapter and I'd get only primes f/2.8 or better. The lower the f-stop the more light the lens takes in = better bokeh, less grain. The Nikon to EOS adapter doesn't need a glass element for infinity focus, and ideally is better. nofilmschool.com/boards/questions/best-cheap-lenses-filmmaking-nikon-d5200
