I have had my RTX for over 15 years, it also came in a hard case with I'd like to say 50 pc. These are built tougher than what people think. I also couldn't afford a "DREMEL" I do use the accessories though. Thanks for the video brother 🍻

You tighten the screw on the attachment which makes the rubber swell out and tighten up on the sanding tube...learn how it works before attempting to tell someone else how to.

I've thought about removing this vide where I clearly state I am learning this tool because KZbin has to be all experts - apparently you can't make a video about my first reaction using one. But hey if I deleted this video all of the helpful comments people have left, like this one, would go away.

@DamianDodd2 жыл бұрын
@@Herkulez1981 You can use the built-in pulse from camera to flash if it's relatively line of sight. Lot of speedlights these days have triggers built-in. I like the triggers that go on camera where you can set the output of each flash remotely.

I'm sorry I didn't get to shoot a review but I just updated the description with how I felt about it. I no longer have access to this camera. I mostly shot with it outside where it shines. If you need low light performance you should probably look elsewhere. But with lights in a studio shooting a video podcast it was fine.

The big failing of both of these camcorders is that the PF24 and PF30 "progressive" modes are recorded as 60i. I need a small camcorder to do tests on special performance animated miniatures that simulate stop motion. All figures must be composited in this complex process. The PF24 is generated using a 3:2 pulldown which results in mixed frames. These are called "dirty frames" in the jargon (see Wikipedia Article "Three-two pull down"). if you are doing serious work, mixed frames are generally useless in the NLE. Getting a real 24p (24F) from this PF24 requires reverse telecine software. Anything that must ultimately be released theatrically must be shot at 24p due to the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) requirements, as well as the needs of the setup (the optical compensator requires a low frame rate). Why anybody would be using a 3:2 pulldown in a modern camcorder is beyond me. Sure, video must be released on NTSC (or PAL for 25p/50i), but this is generally produced in the NLE. Unfortunately, several other Canon camcorders have this same problem. Canon has software (ImageMixer 3 SE) that can convert true 24F to 60i NTSC, but not the opposite. Most NLE's are frame based, and PF30 (recorded as 60i) will generally appear much like true 30p, and can be exported as such. I know what you are thinking. I just want to take some shots of my kid at his birthday. OK, I'll sing Happy Birthday for you.

Hay what are the lenses regards to quality from the kit lens that are on now days. Kind regards.
@DamianDodd2 жыл бұрын
Sry for late reply just saw this, you can tell lens quality from f-stop and also from price. The kit lenses are usually f-3.5 to f5.6 in the zoom range, and the builds are plastic-y. The lower the f-stop the more light the lens lets in (nicer bokeh) and the higher the price goes. It really depends where you're shooting. A zoom with f3.5-f5.6 is ok outside. A zoom with f2.8 consistent through the zoom will be better inside (lets in more light). Primes are nice because you can get better/lower f-stop for an affordable price (like the f1.8 50mm) - if you want zoom on a prime use your feet to walk closer :) But ya if you're shooting your kids indoor sports all the way from the bleachers a 70-200 f2.8 IS and a 2x adapter is the best but $$$$

I have this and I do love it. I got it for the torque that dremel doesn't have as of yet and the speed is this enough for what I need it for. Plus for the price it's a nice alternative starter tool. I've only ever had the mini 2 speed dremel. But I just encountered the issue with the chuck today and couldn't figure out why I suddenly couldn't, so thank you for highlighting that. I'll have to get that replacement in the future.

Hi, i just got this for my first dlsr. Can i use this for macro photography? My main subject is insects/bugs
@DamianDodd3 жыл бұрын
Hello! You sure can. There are a few ways to do macro photography. The inexpensive not-as-good way is to use macro filters on the end of your lens, or extension tubes on the base. The two best ways are a: to get a dedicated macro lens like Canons 100mm f2.8 macro or the king (for bugs) is Canon's 65mm 1-5x macro lens (expensive). There are also lenses with bellows to adjust macro. Or b: (cheapest) is get a reversal ring and mount your lens backwards on your camera. You can even mount two lenses and have one be reversed for even greater closeups. Doing this really robs your lenses of light so you'll need a good light source(s) for indoor photos. Canon has flashes specifically for macro. A lot of the bug photographers do focus stacking. They take many shots focusing through the bugs face and stack the finals into one image. A sturdy tripod, added macro rails, and a shutter release cable will help you make fine adjustments without shake. Here's an article that will help: digital-photography-school.com/reverse-lens-macro-close-up-photography-lesson-3/

Lovely informative video. I have a Canon 500d & Youngnou 568exii ETTL speed lite. I want to use the speed lite off camera. Do I need 2 of yn622c or one yn622c & a yn622 tx also ?
@DamianDodd3 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you! I sold these and use Cactus triggers. I believe one yn622c tx will fire two flashes each having a yn622 transceivers. But your 568exii may receive trigger on its own. Keep researching as I'm not 100% sure sorry.
