Hey guys- It would be worth reading the instructions for the STS pad and giving it another try. To inflate fully open for faster self inflating than use inflate valve to top up with your own breath and lock it in. To deflate you flip/revers the inflate plug and click in, this way you can squeeze all the air out and no air will come back in. It is really easy and if you look closely the instructions are indicated on the valve itself to eliminate any confusion. Please try it, you will be able to pack the pad down quickly and fit it in the sack without any trouble.

Hey, you can flip the valve in the STS and make the air not escape while you deflate it. The middle valve that allows air to go in. Just flip it over and the air gets out but not back in. Makes the deflating so easy compared to what you did in the video. I flip the valve, roll the pad once and then fold it and roll again. Easy and fast. 👌🏻

That might also be why the storage bag ripped. There is still air in the pad.

The sts is SUPER EASY to deflate: 1: Roll it up with the valve fully open. 2: Twist the valve and lock it in «air out only» position. 3: unroll and roll back to squeeze the air out. Close the valve. 4: Now the stuffsack is more than big enough (top big?).

I'm honestly confused about why these 2 pads were compared. Totally different category of pad, one self inflating, totally different R value, totally different price point. A better comparison would have been STS ether lite extreme with a 6.2 R value. In fact, the two I'm presently considering. While I like your channels videos, this comparo was a head scratcher!

Good point and great suggestion. We will consider to make that comparison video. Thanks!
