Polystyrene is attracted to static charges. I wonder if you could have combed your hair then placed the comb over the aluminum and super fine polystyrene beads and have the beads stick to the comb. What you showed in the video looks almost identical to silver/aluminum "Testors" brand paint for hobbies. The copper oxide you show in the video is exactly what you want to prevent from forming when brazing copper refrigeration lines. You use an inert gas like nitrogen. The black scale will not form inside the pipe to clog up capillary tubes.

You could add magnesium to the mixture to get a better burn or you could substitute the aluminium beads for aluminium powder since aluminium powder doesn't have a layer of skin protecting the metal within. Using a more powerful flame would also get you a better result. I remember that stuff from chemistry class back when I used to go to school, that was about 10 years ago.

An odd concept, but maybe. If you contain thermite its explosive, but it would be stupid hard to get it to go off and Im fairly certain it wouldn't be worth the effort to figure out. You would also have to figure out how much power your getting per grain. Assuming the reaction would work with that little material.
@TheCsel8 жыл бұрын
would probably damage the gun
@hadmatter57148 жыл бұрын
I don't think so because thermite does not release any gasses: the reaction is only between a metal and a metal oxide. Gunpowder works because when combusted the powder releases gasses which form a high pressure area behind the bullet.
