Well after I told my boss regarding the sensor. It seems to me like he ain't in a hurry to have it replaced. Well I'm still somewhat new. Unsure if I should press him to get it fixed?

I would get it fixed asap. The engine will run but it also won't notify you if you have an oil pressure issue.
