I’m autistic too lol. I feel like a LOT of Will Wood fans are neurodivergent. I’ve concluded that that lyric is an analogy to mean that whoever the narrator is talking about. Kinda like a baby. Moreover, a child on the spectrum. And with it being “strapped to a ceiling fan” the song is saying that the narrator is farther provoking the person in question. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk

This song is about a defensive lawyer who had a relationship with the accuser either a divorce trial or a domestic abuse trial. In it, the lawyer talks about her toxicity through the lyrics 'wrings a snake and collects its poison'. He claims that the relationship with her broke him leading to his psychotic meltdown in the middle of the trial. When being threatened with charges of contempt of court he claims he doesn't care saying 'I hold myself in contempt' Edit: Holy shit thanks for 500+ likes

My interpretation is that the narrator is in a toxic relationship with the woman in the song, and ends up snapping and becoming equally as toxic as her as he loses love for her “So all that I see, absolute entropy (losing all energy from expelling it) as the chemical bonds fall apart (love is often described as chemicals, because it technically is, but these chemical “bonds” (double entendre there) are falling apart, their relationship is falling apart

My theory is that this song is about domestic abuse trial where the woman is the abuser and uses that to her advantage to try to paint her male partner as the aggressor possibly to the degree that he gets so fed up with her abuse that he too becomes toxic and hateful to her and it becomes an equally toxic relationship which she then uses to be like "See? He was ALWAYS like this, he just hid it well!" or sm.

People should be allowed to be uncomfortable with the autism line, hell, I didn't want to listen to this song for a while when I first realized that's what he was saying. I've seen people try and make the lyric "deep" to justify it's use, and that's really stupid. It's an edgy lyric in an edgy song. I don't believe anyone should be called ableist for liking this song though. People have their own reasons for enjoying things, and I for one know there's a lot of autistic people in the ww fandom that don't mind the lyric. Or autistic people who do mind the lyric but might listen to it anyway because will's music is their special interest. So when you call everyone who enjoys this song or wills work in general an ableist, keep in mind you're grouping those people in too.

It's important to note that Will Wood is playing a character; he likes to tell stories in his songs, and this one is no different. That alone should dissolve any criticism over the autism line since it's a fictional person saying these things. If it still triggers people, they could just not listen to the song; Will Wood has plenty of other fantastic songs.

I feel like I should clarify that this comment was in response to some dumb stuff I saw on twitter from both sides (dw I only used twitter for like 3 months), no one here was talking about this really. Apologies if this seemed like it came out of left field

Good thing u stopped using twitter, the ridiculousness and self entitlement of the people there is out of this world. Only the birdies can try to cancel a song over the usage of a word they find offensive, but then again, air is offensive to them. Hope you can now enjoy songs without feeling the need to whine about words that are gonna get used irl whether you like it or not. Or even better, don't get offended by words at all XD

line goes hard though

@@charybdis3795 true honestly. It just made me a little uncomfortable the first time I learned that's what the line was (understandably imho) considering Will is not autistic. Knowing Will's not actually abelist against autistic people takes a bit of the edge off, but still. I still agree with the main point I was trying to make in my original comment (which was that some autistic people are uncomfortable with the line and some aren't and that's fine, don't go around calling people bigoted just because of a piece of media they enjoy. That last point especially, I believe is the root cause of my frustration around the tiny controversy I saw over this lyric at the time that sparked my comment's original inception. I don't think I got that across very well, considering the replies I've gotten seem to think *I* was/am personally super offended by the line), I just regret typing and posting it, because I don't think it was a point that needed to be made in this comment section. Somewhere else maybe, not here. (Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to get all of my final thoughts on this topic out, because I don't care to talk about it anymore. The whole thing is /gen and /nm)

what is the instrument at 1:05 and 1:47 ?

Its called a talk box. It's a little tube you stick in your mouth that plays a sound you can shape with your mouth. It's really cool
@gracecckids3 жыл бұрын
ok but how was the effect made?
@jordanguelbert77543 жыл бұрын
That's the effect. Just play a triangle wave through a talk box at that pitch and you'd sound pretty much the same.

I really want to get good at art and then animation so I can animate the horror-based nonsense that makes so much sense to me and in the middle of these terrifying scenes is Tbh duct taped to a ceiling fan for about 2 seconds.
