I have a V6 3000cc mazda in my milan. Much easier to do. However. Those cheap wires on the headlights catching fire while driving at night lol. Im replacing a heater hose, a thermostat, and possibly the heater core now.

Is flushing out the antifreeze necessary? or is that just to avoid a leak while you are working?
@TheNomadMechanic8 ай бұрын
It is to avoid a mess while working, in the end you will have to refill the system, I will advice drain it first I think makes the process easier. Regards

Do you happen to know where the coolant sensor is located, couldnt find any videos that help since they had a different engine.

Thermostats always had a small hole drilled in the flat metal part so air or fluid could get through with the valve in the closed position. I'm going to drill a 3/32" hole somewhere around the flat metal part instead of doing all this air bleed nonsense. You're welcome.

How did you get that bottom power steering pump mount bolt off man ... I have small hands and this is killing me! Haha. My abs module is in the way... I have a 2010
@TheNomadMechanic5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that module should be complicating a lot the acces to the bolt, well little by little and with tons of patience I guess, good luck

I had same issue so I took apart the p/s reservoir from the pump. Was tricky but made removal pretty quick. Getting it back on was tough until I decided to reassemble the reservoir off the car and just put that lower bolt as finger tight as I could. The top 2 bolts hold the unit firm anyway.
