Still breaking hearts 70 years later. Tragically died in a car crash rear ending a large truck, got decapitated I think. Mansfield bars, also known as underride guards, are metal bars affixed to the back of semi trucks and trailers. They’re meant to supplement a bumper and prevent passenger cars from sliding underneath semi trucks in the event of a collision. Named after the tragic death of actress Jayne Mansfield.
@ShortStuff24710 ай бұрын
Her being decapitated was a rumor. Her wig came off, based off of pics, and ppl assumed it was her head- that’s how the rumor started.

All our journeys end the same way, it’s what we do with the time we’re granted that matters. I think Jayne did alright with what little time she had. Enjoy her for her achievements and lament her loss.@@silentnight3235

DYK: Mansfield is the mother of Mariska Hargitay, the star of Law and Order: SVU. She was on the same car that killed her mother when she was young.

From what i remember is that Jane Mansfield her head went through the new windscreens of the day that were now laminated with a plastic sheet sandwich in the glass, causing flexibility yes "flexibility". Her head pushed through the screen creating a head sized hole but when it came back to shape like flat again the jagered hole clamped down becoming smaller on her neck somewhat but not full decapitation as i recall.
