. Was going to express how wonderful it is to see (hear) MARSDEN & MOODY again but the whole band is fantastic. It's just that the chemistry of that Whitesnake triumvirate with Neil Murray has the magic. Great great stuff. Many thanks .

Honestly, I love this version. It has a soothing kind of mood compare to the 'hairy' version by Whitesnake. Bernie Marsden ftw!

Why does Murray keeps himself somewhat on the background ?

This is odd - the early Whitesnake guys playing later Whitesnake stuff. Maybe Murray was apart of the original recording, but the "hair metal" era was certainly different from the bluesy rock era. Interesting though to see. Thanks for posting.

+Jeff R. It is a bit odd but you have to admit they play it as well as the later Whitesnake members did.

***** Oh, okay. I didn't realize that there was an older version of the song. Saints and Sinners is one of the few albums that I don't have. I guess it's like Fool For Your Loving, which was done in the early days and then again in the hair metal days. I'm lucky to have seen the group on the Ready n Willing tour. So cool!

Bernie Marsden (far left) wrote the song with David Coverdale and 'mark 1' of Whitesnake recorded it when Bernie was in the band. The later 'hairy' Whitesnake lineup re-recorded it and had the big hit.

Always great to see Bernie's guitar "the Beast" but I wonder what Micky named his? Not too shabby and great sounding.

I think both guitarists here are using Sid Poole guitars - a well-respected English luthier.

The Beautiful ? Actually, it wasn't Bernie who called his guitar the Beast, it was Cozy Powell, as I learned in a Marsden interview today here on KZbin.

Much better than whitesnake's re-done 1987 nonsense

I find it weird that they're playing the radio version of the song rather than the original Saints An' Sinners version.

There's a video on youtube of Bernie and Jon Lord playing this acoustically with Bernie singing it. It's the best version I've heard.
