You will only do any good with direct work?? don`t fuck about with Haulage Exchange or Anything Sub Contracted as they will have 50% out of it, Sounds like yo are on a Wing and a Prayer ffs, You need to be on minimum 3500K for 5 days, ( all you are doing sitting there talking Bollox) Fire it up and F/O home.

57:09 That’s a great analogy. I hope you have the time to keep keeping it real 😂. I hear what you say about the KZbinrs I moved this and I moved that. I must admit if/when I get paperwork/ invoices I like to have a peep at prices. I’m only in a van sometimes I’m blown away a small parts is worth x and then something the size of a small car is worthless and the cost of carriage is more than the item.
@TheRockgod237 күн бұрын
I know it sometimes sounds crazy but the worthless item could be the one thing delaying a multi-million pound project hence costing more to move it than it's value (that's economics/business).

I run 8x lorries artics 3 of which are over 1mill kms on them all Volvos we do around 3,000 - 3,300km a week with a revenue of about 3,500 - 3,700 per week trucks are paid for trailers are brand new Schmitz Euroliners but we got them on an extremely good deal im talking about £19.5k per trailer and that's brand new. We earn around £5 to £8k proffit per month from the trucks. Now I know to some it will sound low, but £5 to £8k proffit and everything paid for is very good for me and my family in my opinion.
@TheRockgod235 күн бұрын
I don't think there is a right way or wrong way of running trucks as long as you are happy and bringing in enough to pay for everything plus a bit of profit.

Morning Rockgod, I’m really sorry but I can’t remember what your name is ? Can you please remind us all ? Great video, I found it very interesting. Can I ask a few questions you may consider answering on your next video ? Have you bought your truck outright, or is it on lease or bank loan ? If on lease or bank loan, are you able to claim payments against tax ? Does Scania do your maintenance or another garage ? The apps you use to get work, how much a year does subscription to them cost ? Regarding what you do, there is a saying that anyone can be a busy busy fool. What’s the point of working all hours god sends to make the same amount of someone who works less. What’s your plans regarding truck replacement if and when, are you saving money to one side for that day. These jobs you are doing, if it means less miles and diesel use, then to me that makes best scenario. My friend Jason runs a very small fleet of tankers. He would rather do tank cleaning jobs and earn top money rather than running around like a clown burning fuel. Regards Robert from Bury
@TheRockgod234 күн бұрын
Hi Robert, you probably can't remember my name because I've never actually said what my name is on any of my videos, this is because I always wanted the vids to be about the job and not about me ! Rather than go into details now about your questions I will indeed try to include them in future videos but I will say that the truck was a 5 year finance deal (just under 1 year left then it will be paid for), the payments are a business cost to the Company so are not included in the Corporation Tax (tax on profits) at the end of the year. As for the 'apps', The Haulage/Courier Exchange is the only one I use which I pay for, can't remember how much but it's under a grand (though some people pay thousands as it depends on the number of vehicles in a fleet and whether or not you want to post your own loads etc). Others like Amazon Relay, Haulage Hub etc are free to use. Cheers. (By the way, it's Matt).

@TheRockgod235 күн бұрын
I normally do look for Mondays, in this case this was my last day before having a week off for Christmas. Was it the list of hauliers ? If so, I contacted a couple who said they just post extra work online as it's easier. Cheers.

I know you can drive an artic so why did you decide to buy a rigid over an artic?
@TheRockgod237 күн бұрын
Purely an economic decision. Lower running costs while earning similar to an artic (sometimes a bit less, sometimes more).
