The truly funny part of this, is that the Rotty puppy is timid, submissive & frightened & the Doby adult is dominant and confident and secure. Years from now, these roles will be completely reversed & the Doby will be the one who will be somewhat timid and submissive when it encounters that Rotty....lol

In the UK its illegal to dock a dogs tail. Having a rottie myself they look better with a full tail imo

A recent change in AKC rules no longer allow docked tails or cropped ears for Doberman or Rottweiler show dogs. As neither breed is used for pulling wagons, this is a result of changing sensibilities regarding animal appearance modifications. Personally I am heartened to see this, as there really is no practical use for this type of modification for animals kept as household pets. However, you should be aware that The Rottie Channel is not based in the UK, and UK law doesn't apply in non-commonwealth locations - not even in Utah (USA). The rest of us had no idea that Utah and the UK were so easily confused.

From his behaviour, the Dobe is both playing with and looking after the Rottie pup. This is how socialised Dobies are. Family, pups, those that they feel aren’t as strong as themselves: they take care of. Good job, their owner.🤝

The Dobie is trying so hard to be a good big brother, constantly looking to the humans like "Am I doing it right?" The little Rott is a bit overwhelmed. When your playmate is 10x your size... I'd be overwhelmed too. But the Dobes heart is pure. They will be best buds in the near future.
