Hey Thersites, big fan for several years now. Your work has pushed me to get into reading the primary source material and really try to approach classical history in an academic way. I’m a mathematics masters student, so it’s not something I pursue professionally, but I still find it almost as enlightening and rewarding as my regular coursework. I find it so fulfilling to read ancient Greek and Roman history in the detailed oriented way you so encourage. I have really bad ADHD so it takes me a long time to read, but it’s just as enjoyable for me as for anyone else. Ive already read Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus, and even non primary source work like Hans Van Wees, Kaldellis, Meier, and Thomas N Mitchell- all because of you. I just wanted to give you a heartfelt thank you and show of my appreciation. I really understand last year was tough, but thank you so much for continuing to provide all of us with the BEST history content on youtube!!!

Those are four very good modern scholars. Mitchell is especially underappreciated in my opinion, since he is able to convey scholarly ideas in a very accessible fashion.

Hi Thersites, I am a big fan of your videos since KZbin recommended me your channel a couple of weeks ago. I am not a native English-speaking person, but your narration is so clear that even someone like me really can understand everything. Thanks you so much for your time and effort into this topics. PS: It would be great to record a complete video about Metellus Scipio, the Roman God of War as you mentioned haha.

Good evening. I have a question for you Thersites - would it be possible to contact you somehow for academical purposes? I have a research project about classical reception in new media and historical content videos and would love to invite you for a very brief expert interview. I found your twitter, would it be ok to give you more information there? Thanks for your great work.

You can email me at thersitesspeaks2@gmail.com or you can contact me on Twitter. I typically don't spend all that much time on Twitter, but I will eventually see whatever you send me.

Yes, BUT if he were tag-teamed with Roberto Benigi, and this team then had to mud-wrestel an opposing team of Benito Mussolini and Niccolò Machiavelli, which team would most likely win?
@bothewolf346610 ай бұрын
Going with Mussolini and Machiavelli myself. Benito had some bulk, and if he oiled up, he'd be slickery.''''
