So what kind of rectifier should be recommended when upgrading from 8 to 11 poles? How many rectifier wires should it be?
@Theruckshop2 жыл бұрын
5 pin rectifier

Do you have to set a gap on the pick up coil?

What impact wrench you using? I have a 20volt one and it's not working and I tired a pneumatic one with around 90 psi and still didn't have enough power to get that bolt off. Help please lol.

Which scooter do you have? Did it come with the 8 pole triface stator? Could you please tell me which brand and model is it? Thanks.

Flywheel nut is reverse threaded??
@jsmokzalot92384 жыл бұрын
No
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic2 жыл бұрын
No. The puller is inserted using a reverse thread/left hand turn motion

Does the 150cc conversion usually remove the ecu? I'm new to this, just got a ruckus with gy6 conversion. Thanks

hi i need some help i just got my self a 11pole stator but is doesnt bolt up the plate in the back of it. Any where i can buy the back plate? i dont know whats its called

Did you get sorted?
@mandapalque6 жыл бұрын
So, using your 8th pole wiring you just can put and 11 pole stator?
@Theruckshop6 жыл бұрын
if you are using the atr harness it is made for both 8 and 11 pole but is recommended to use the 11 pole stator since the 4 pin regulator is not strong enough to hold the volts coming off the stator. if you have the dan max harness the 8 pole works fine and if you upgrade to 11 pole then you will have to re-pin the harness which it states how to under the danmax link on our site

I’m having voltage problems with my stator I changed from 8 pole to 11 pole stator on a gy6 swap but I have stock harness for ruckus clone and I have a ncy 4 pin regulator..what will I have to do to keep everything working good I want to keep this harness is there a way I can please let me know
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic2 жыл бұрын
@@2FrEsH4ya617 buy yourself the correct rectifier. You need a 4+2 rectifier, and they are about 4x the size of a 6 or 8 pole one. Youll know when you see one.

what does pink wire on 11pole stator connect to?

It's red... probably just faded and now looks pink

Are these 3 phase?
@jsmokzalot92384 жыл бұрын
Long story short I've got an 11pole 3 phase stator and I want to put it on a 150 gy6 that currently has 8 pole single phase. Is this possible?

check out @kachiskid
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic2 жыл бұрын
You'll only have 1/3 of the poles working for you so no it's pointless. These poles aren't in one phase like the smaller stators. You need each yellow wire to be feeding your rectifier with its own dedicated terminal connection to get 100% effectiveness from the stator. You need a 4 pin+2, 3 yellow pins, one ground on the business side. If you don't have the correct pin out on your rectifier buy the corresponding one or keep your 8pole on the motor...it will produce more juice than an 11 pole with just one phase working.

what is the benefit of this upgrade?
@Theruckshop7 жыл бұрын
Jack Francisco better charging . More Poles means better charging . Charges faster and more since there's 2 more poles per rotation
@jcmfrancisco0217 жыл бұрын
The Ruck Shop hmm what do you mean by charging, does it charge the batterries? sorry I'm new with this stuff, I also have a gy6 and want to do this also

Red Loctite? No thank you. I use blue and never had an issue. Stators on gy6 tend to fail way more often then I would want to fight to get red locktite held bolts out. I don't always have my impact handy.
@Theruckshop6 жыл бұрын
Andrew Johnson we do this a lot more than you do. Blue does nothing with the heat of the motor. Yes you can use blue but red works best .
@A_Stereotypical_Heretic2 жыл бұрын
@@Theruckshop what a dick response. Of course red works best for keeping the bolt locked...that wasn't his point. Ever had one of those little head bolts snap in half because some genius used red loctite? Apparently not. High temp blue loctite is rated upwards of 450°, which is the perfect locker for these engines. They don't exceed 300° and if they do you have more problems than thread locker. Red is by far extreme overkill on this little guys. That's friggin auto engine rated head bolt stuff man! 🤦 Not a 150cc engine.

we only sell ac stators so this is what we do the videos on, and their are ac and dc but none of our harnesses use dc
