@@Attilla7 Yes, the only real difference I know between the 50cc and the 150cc is the clutch axle nut - on the 150cc it's the same size as the variator nut, so it gets 60NM, but on the 49cc it's smaller and only gets 40NM. With regards to all other bolts, follow this general rule for any china cases: Any generic M6 bolts (usually 8mm) - 5NM Engine case bolts (that are usually also 8mm, but long and hold the case together): 7NM Any generic M7 bolt/nut (usually 10mm) - 8 or 10 NM Cylinder head nut: 13.5 ft lb The rolling wrench general torque specs for GY6 page has more information, but keep in mind that many torque values there are too high because of the bad quality metal used in china cases - For example, they say 10NM for M6 bolts, but if you try putting 10NM on the CVT cover bolts or valve cover bolts for example, you'll strip them

Rebuilt B&S engines at 12 years old. Folks everywhere had one that did not run great. So few parts. Replaced my head on a GY6 as the muffler bolt holes stripped out due to vibration. Will replace cam with an A11 as I live in the mountains. I replaced my stock CDI as I was told it was limited to 35mph...bought a tunable one. Hits 55+ no problem and about 30 up hill. But she does not get anywhere near the 90 mpg suggested. More like 50 but all these hills eat gas...The last hill up to the house is nearly 2 miles. 9 miles round trip down to the hot springs. Takes like 15 minutes as I don't go fast on those twisty roads. But I get there and back on $.80 or less.

I remove the factory studs because they always strip out. I use 2" m6x1.0 bolts with a nut on them. Just screw the bolt in till seated, then turn the nut down till it compresses the exhaust pipe flange. It make removal easy too. Just losen the nut then spin the whole bolt out. Always use the fiber ring exhaust gaskets & and just slightly oval pinch them to get them to hold in place.

More parts = more chances to fail. Theres hardly a performance difference in 2 vs 4 valves. Dont waste you money on 4 valve heads. They need special camshafts to operate those 4 valves too. 2 valve is common & rebuildable. There's even a 2 valve big head sold.

@johng.3740 Жыл бұрын
I have a tao tao 50 with a big bore kit and I found out the hard way NOT to use non conductive loctite on the bolts for the stator. The stator creates a ground return through contact with the metal case AND through the metal bolts. When I replaced the stator on my scooter I put blue loctite on the stator bolts and then I found that the scooter would not start, digging deeper I found it had no spark. Doing some thinking I came to the conclusion that it must be the stator bolts, so I removed the bolts and cleaned off all traces of dried loctite and sure enough the spark returned.

i spilled a soda on my bike while riding i think it got into the engine or whatever spins because i forgot to clean it the next day i tried starting it up and it’s like something is sticky but i don’t know where to start.. i tried using soapy water and cleaning off the dried up soda and let it dry over night im about to go downstairs and see if it’ll start now.. when i turn it on it it makes a sluggish noise as if something is sticky i just don’t know what it is

Question? Is it possible to swap a stock 200cc engine with a 90cc engine? I am a beginner to scooters. I wanted to start to a lower phase before going with higher speed. If it is possible, where can I buy a 90cc engine from Honda or Kawasaki? I hope that some could direct me to the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Nope... Just keep the 200cc to grow into & respect the throttle while learning.
