Thank you so much I lost a ton of confidence because I was missing tackles constantly and after this i watched this before a training and that was one of my best training sessions thank you

I loved tackling in my rugby days and I love your drills which teach players to make those crucial tackles and win games.

Thanks Terry, that's amazing! What age are the boys? Do they like the drills ?
@terryhughes2081 Жыл бұрын
The youngest plays for the under 11's and the eldest is meant to be playing for the under 13's but plays up a year for under 14's. The eldest really enjoys them but the youngest loves watching the vids on KZbin and tick tock and putting them into practice in the garden. he plays prop so loves the tackle and rucking vids the most but really enjoys all of them lol. He's saving up his money now to join your academy but was thrilled when I told him just received the 7 day training program, so going to be strait on that after his game today. Thanks again. @@TheRugbyTrainerTV

@@TheRugbyTrainerTVI appreciate the technical sophistication your drills. You’ve provided a range of drills to address different tackling scenarios that could come up in a game.
@TheRugbyTrainerTV Жыл бұрын
@Tony-dv5fs love it. Let me know how you get off with the drills. The best thing is when using a bag as it's no where near as realistic as tackling a person so we need to street our footwork as much as we can to make it as realistic as possible. These drills are me trying to be creative, forcing myself to make decisions regarding footwork and head/shoulder position.

I agree, my players have already started saying this. 😅I will let you know how I get on. Thanks again

Completely unrelated question but in the ruck where am i meant to place my feet as i often find myself tripping over teammate on even standing on them?
@TheRugbyTrainerTV Жыл бұрын
When you enter the ruck, what are you thinking about? What are you looking at? What do you think you're doing wrong ?
@joshuajames6286 Жыл бұрын
Im looking and thinking about trying not to step on my teammates whilst also trying to defend the ruck, but i keep ending up doing both wrong, what should be my priority, trying not to step on my team mates or defending the ruck? @@TheRugbyTrainerTV
@tsherwood2112 Жыл бұрын
I try to get my feet really wide, on either side of my teammate. That way I don't step on them, and I have a very wide base which is very stable I haven't been blown off a ruck in 3 years
