I can recommend the first mission of hatikva (dock at the trade station in their system to see it in missions). It is the start of several faction story line and the first mission is very low risk. it gives a nice small courier ship as reward which can be downgraded for some extra money (a courier doesn't need weapons). As for missions: I can recommend getting 10 reputation with the teladi. joining their mission guild for 80k will offer very profitable missions for the early game which can partly be done remotely with a scout ship. For trading, setting up satelites it worth its money. many small satelites are cheaper than fewer advanced satelites. Highly recommend them if you can catch 2 stations or a system exit like that. Once you have a better ship, get a captain on your bad starter ship and let it scout the sectors, and afterwards, you can make it set satelites remotely. they need to be bought at a warf or equipment dockusing the equip ship command. It is also possible to quickly select trade goods for the filter. just click on the name on the trade overlay and it gets auto picked. also works with greyed out goods currently not filtered.

I am not sure if the ship type scales of game time, but I did the Hatikva mission after unlocking the initial boron gate and they gave me a medium trader not a courier ship. I was tasked to deliver certain wares and can keep the ship afterwards.

Getting a pilot for all ships, even the most basic cheap, is more than enough.

RG - to locate an enemy that might be hiding, use "Shift + E" which will target your nearest enemy. Saves on trying to find them flying behind modules and lets you easily pick them off when you come into range.

There's really only one goal in this game: To become the wealthiest, most powerful man in the universe!

This is more of a mining video, so it's a bit of a moot point, but there's no need to "look around" for the enemy. There's a very handy hotkey you can set for target nearest enemy. A quick bonk on that button and BOOM you know where your bogie is, and can drop them before skipping along on your way.

Hotkeys, are more of an intermediate thing, this is for beginners where you barely know where your feet are in the game. Your point is solid and something I would do too

Highly suggest the mod for crystals on nexus mods and the respawn patch making them spawn better. Makes them esier to see and also fixes the spawn

We try to do 100% vanilla for our guide videos. Maybe we should do a guide for best mods... Any other mod suggestions?

Absolute beginner to this game, following these videos. How do I actually find asteroids? The video shows you already at them.

Is the ships starting weapon good enough for mining or do you need to upgrade?
@TheRuggedGamer7 ай бұрын
You need mining lasers, weapons will burn out and take forever.

One of the best Mining ship money wise is the Argon M class mining ship for starting, they are pretty cheap IMO.

Thanks for the video but I wish people who are in the first person mode would stop with the fast shaking of the mouse. It makes it unwatchable for me and Im sure many folks as well.

So you say not to shoot anyone with your starter ship because you will die. I guess that makes your Elite........kinda Dangerous. 😮💨 I apologize. I'm done.
