This map is incredible, the ambiance is just amazing. At night it gets incredibly dark and it's hard to travel so people tend to hunker down and light fires. If you get to a high point you can see them dotted around for kilometers - probably the coolest thing I have seen in a game!

For those of you who don't know or who haven't play the original DayZ, the 'earthquake things' are radiation storms. You can avoid them by going inside. Your screen will go black for a few moments and you might bleed a bit, but you should be alright. There should also be some kind of tool (Radiation mask) that allows you to be outside and not be killed or knocked out by the storm, at least that's how it was in Arma2. If this map is faithful to the original, there should also be an invisible creature that stalks you and can 1 hit you, so beware of that. They are VERY rare though and you can hear them walking/stomping/growling around. Your best bet is to run to a house and funnel it into a doorway. If you have a high capacity weapon, spray at the sound and you will see blood when you hit it. Best of luck and stay safe in Namalsk, survivors!

Just as a secondary comment. In OSRS, a game that ive followed for years, there is a quite substantial community centered around self limiting account builds.. i think it resonates with the survival aspects of dayz and even perhaps more so in Namalsk. Anyways just wanna perhaps share with you, the idea of self limiting gameplay - that be perhaps you cannot wear certain stuff or drink certain stuff, whatever it may be, to make survival that much harder. Makes for great replayability

The way you narate is - in my view - excelently balanced as it is engaging yet casual enough for me the viewer. So thank you mate for those vidz again, they entertain me for many an hour these days! One thing I have been noticing, if I put this corectly is those twitch sounds during the video ("its time to start running" top left screen) mostly the sound can be a bi tdisturbing when chosing to watch in blown with headpones etc. If there is an easy way to seperate those sounds from twitch to youtube I think it would be great for Immersion! Watching TRMZ and others on Namalsk has been fun. Sumrak released the Namalsk map for Arma 2 back in 2008. His 2011 Namalsk Crisis campaign - which the DZ Namalsk mod is a direct descendent of - was not for the faint of heart or for kids with short attention spans. This incarnation of it for DayZ looks beautiful. Cheers to Sumrak and his team!

Yeah I play the Xbox version of Chernarus and Livonia. I love being able to use the controller bcuz the Xbox controllers fit my hands like a glove. 2:08:00 I think it's XP. Like how the longer you live the bar will sway from building to repair depending on what you do more of. Possibly lets you do the animation much quicker. I feel the Frost shield is a frost resistance meter. Similar to how the other bar works or should work. Could work either way, 1. indicating how resistant you become or 2. work as a timer meaning full bar is almost certain death.Keep in mind this is highly speculative based on nothing but the anecdotal evidence and testing of the other bar.

You're supposed to put the watch in a quick slot (and have them visible) to see the time. You can actually use a watch as a compass in real life. "To use your watch as an approximate compass outside of the tropics in the northern hemisphere, hold the watch horizontal and point the hour hand at the sun. Half way between that point and the twelve o'clock mark on your watch points to the south." (taken from elsewhere)

With that being said this is another one of those games that doesn't really hold your hand just like Escape From Tarkov to (it's just a bit more intense in that aspect but certainly a relatively reasonable metaphor.) Neverthelesss, when "TheRunningManZ" explains it he just explains a very complicated game in a very down to earth, & extremely intelligible way. & with out a doubt one of the easiest to follow. Well enough tit sucking lol. I am just speaking the facts that I see. These are very vital things too practice when in the content creation industry. But honestly your killin it bud! Truly hope I don't run into you but then I do. But hopefully it would be close quarters so we could possibly VoIP before a possible misunderstanding. Love this map.. got my best start ever the other night.. had sks with bayonet, plenty of ammo, decent clothes, water food. tried moving around a body of water at night aggroed like 10 military zombies and got unconned, ran into water to get away swam and died. Good times.

Great pvp, Paul! its been a pleasure supporting for such a ling time, since the days when you just started the channel and playing Dayz! This new mod is what I think a survival should be like, and the reason why I went from streaming Dayz to The Long Dark. Because in a survival, the enviroment has to play part significantly and add to the difficulty. Far too often Dayz turned into gun-slinging genre. Glad this mod came out and you see Paul how much you're loving it? That's due to hightened environment factors, including keeping an eye on your clothing etc...The weather must be next. When you make a trip in game, you can just do it. But in the Long dark, you need time it with a good weather and sometimes it doesn't come so what do you do? Risk it? And get caught in a blizzard? Hope the mode goes that way. Gg, Paul. And what lovely partner you have. Cuppa tea and fig rolls mid streaming! Wow, tell he she's a keeper!

If your vision is blurry, that means you have lost some health . It isnt a bug, you simply need to regain all your health by being max energized, hydrated and full on blood. Go for a walk yourself at -10 celsius or colder for a few hours.The middle aqueous layer provides moisture and supplies oxygen and other important nutrients to the cornea. This layer is 98 percent water. The outer lipid layer is an oily film that seals the tear film on the eye and helps to prevent evaporation. In very cold weather you will squeeze your eyes more often to keep them lubricated. So it is most likely the maker of the mod has put some kind of script in it that makes your visibility go bad.

The Thunder clap is out of the game "Stalker" and you must get into aa room where there are no windows to stop it from killing you.. Not sure if it was from Pripiat or Clear Sky..

Its the fking radiation surge(i cant remember correctly,there was an item that shows you time when next surge is going to happen-not sure if its available now,it spawned inside Athena-2),you gotta get inside as soon as you hear it.And if you're out in middle of nowhere...yeah dead pretty much.So in essence,Namalsk is a very,very brutal place to play at.I played it back in the old days,when cold wasnt an issue like now(happy days).It is a different experience of the game imo,something between heavy camping and timed loot/supply runs.Vehicles will alleviate the hardships,its less of hassle then.Helies are a holy grail of this map.Happy to see it finally on SA version.

I think this map is genius it’s like day z with a an awesome twist that makes it really fun and dangerous to explore anyone who hates this is just someone who can’t even survive in the normal maps so they are scared of this more difficult experience lol 😂 I loved my first day on the map for sureeeee
