Just to let you know when we were trained on the acog, those lines with the number match the width of the average mans shoulders at that range and the scope is set for a 5.56 m4 or m16 (there are scopes that vary but I dont think it matters in dayz.) 5 = mans shoulders at 500 yds 4=400 and so on. So basically, just match em up and pull the trigger. Or match them up, set zero to range, and aim with crosshair.

Nice. I think the pso-1 optic in this game has a similar size chart on it. Except it is a head to toe chart based on a 1.8m average height. If you know what I mean. Did you learn moa, smoa and milrads too? Took me a while to get the hang of because my mathematics was a bit weak back in 04

Stab vest is elite this update, was on 75hp after being hit by M4 twice in the arms and then got shot by mosin, stab vest was only damaged! Woke up, morphined went on to kill 2 of the bastards and die when I was unable to loot one of my kills desynced M4 :(

5:00 If pistols give bullet snaps, that would be the bug. Snaps do not happen with sub-sonic ammunition. Don't know how it is in the game, but with pistols you should only hear the gunshot in the distance or if the bullet hits a surface near you, you would hear the impact.

Those 2 guys remind me of why i havent played dayz in so long. My gameplay is always the same as theirs. im always so clueless when somebody is shooting at me. "where is he!?!?" or "fuck dont panic (then panic)" i always play for 6 hours and die to somebody i never saw. and i just dont have those kinda hours to play anymore so its a struggle to decide "do i wanna loot for hours and die tonight?" combination of being bad at the game and not having time to get better... i wanna play and be good at DayZ but my skill and depression say no

Switch to low pop servers, make friends, run with teammates. You’ll gain loads of experience with teammates. Plus confidence, lowers panic levels, and is safer. Get after it, don’t wuss out on us now man.

Join a few death match servers get better at shooting. Stop looting up for 4 hours. Get basic supplies get a gun and go looking for a fight to get some experience. Its not so devastating when you lose a gun fight over 30 mins of loot. If you win you'll get loot that will save you hours. This way you can progress a lot quicker and have more fun.

I got the drop and 2 fully geared players earlier in Adamow. I was eating and loading mags. Had just finished and was about to log. I heard the softest cough, but unmistakable. I didnt move for a couple minutes. Then he came to my house. I KOd him after he came in. Tried to handcuff him. Wouldnt work at all. He woke up. I finished him. I was looting and heard another cough. I quickly pulled out my SVAL as his friend pushed the door and dropped him as he sprayed an SK. It was one of my fastest snowballs.

I haven’t played much but I had a decent start yesterday on some vanilla server I got couple guns from first house I ran in I could tell nothing was looted. Searched the whole town and didn’t find a single piece of food or water and by the end of searching I was coming close to death. I decided I wanted to atleast get to shoot the guns I did find so I had a clip of ij70 bullets and a gun so shot a zombie and it was night time well a ton come and I was in a shack with windows so I used all my bullets killing a few then went to town stabbing and ya know what?? I got 2 sodas and a can of ravioli off them!!!

I've been considering getting this game because it reminds me of rust which I enjoyed for a short time but my base always got raided while I was work during the day....this game seems very similar but without the base aspect. but I get more enjoyment watching you play....

You can base build in this game especially in the modded servers but as you say you spend a whole lot of time saving stuff away to get raided. Get loot and go looking for a fight and have fun

You say your early streams aren't archived, there is 'evidence" from back then. I've been on a kinda chronological DayZ nostalgia trip (Devildog, EireBornFenix, PsySyn, Hybrid Panda etc).
