Running from the Fuell Cell Prism, the Boston 10 feels very different. I'm 75km on my pair btw. I use these on my 8-10k steady paces. These are my experiences running on the shoes. Cons: 1) The Lightstrike foam has good energy return but way too hard and heavy 2) I can't feel the energy rods working 3) The carbon plate on the heel feels too hard since I "lazy heel strike" when I'm tired. 4) The shoes makes you run in a certain way. 5) I get tired easily and sometimes my arms ang waist hurt during the run Pros: 1) The Lightstrike Pro is very responsive during the transition 2) The upper is very breathable 3) The grip is great. I ran on the track, uphill, concrete, and during rain. 4) Not sure but I think this shoe makes me stronger having the fact that the shoe is heavy 5) best looking shoe in the Adizero line-up

Much has been said about the Boston 10 being heavy and bulky, but I have found it as such a nice supportive shoe, and surprisingly fast. I actually prefer it over the Adios 6, which I find a bit stiff.

I have both and like each. I use the Boston for intervals/tempos and the Adios 6 for 5k 10k Racing.

I was surprised at how much I like the Boston 10 since I usually prefer softer shoes.

I loved my Adios 6 but I had problems with the durability of the outsole. Only the Continental rubber that is in the forefoot area by the big toe that did not show any wear and tear in 150km so far. But the rest of the rubber is breaking up, making me supinate in both feet and my left foot (where I pronate a bit) lost quite a bit chunk of rubber in the heel, making me overpronate a bit more then my normal. This shoe, unfortunately is starting to be stressing for my muscles for stabilizing the ankles and shins. Hopefully in the Adios 7, Adidas will put a full length Continental rubber every where. For the record I still got my Adios 5 that is still in very good shape after 400km .

Nick’s definitely got a bet on to see how many videos he can mention the Endorphin Speed in 😂 decent review, I tried them both on in adidas’s flagship store and the Adios 6 felt so much nicer underfoot!

I have both. To me the adios 6 is just like a normal trainer, versatile but nothing stands out. The Boston 10 though is sth unique and special, unlike anything I have before. Heavy like a tank in my size US10.5 especially after soaking all the sweat easily above 400g each. But it is really a nice auto cruiser for those steady pace. I like Boston 10 more. Tq for this nice review.

Happen to have both at the moment but admittedly the Boston is still in the box. I got the Adios 6 last summer and although haven’t used it much I found it needs a bit of a push down fore foot to get the foam to react. That’s where I found it to be a enjoyable ride. The Boston’s I kind of expect a slightly softer ride but still unsure if its just a heavier version. Need to make up my mind 😄

Would you choose the Adios 6 or Takumi Sen 8 as a faster training option?

I use Adios6 in UK9 which is true fit. but should I upsize when getting boston 10 to accommodate for feet swell on longer runs (5 hour marathon)

I do my long runs in the 10s - really good. I didn't notice the weight really. The 6s are too narrow for me and I don't have wide feet. I'm worried if I buy that a few miles in my feet will be squished.

Hi, What are the alternatives to the boston that you found more impressive? Thanks :)

The Nike Pegasus 38 or the ASICS Novablast.

Hey! Lots more detail in the full Boston review, but prefer things like the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2, Hoka Mach 4, NB Rebel v2, Skechers Excess.

Good review. I always appreciate your feedback. I feel a slight cringe when I see reviewers running 9 min pace in the Adios or SL20 series and comment how uncomfortable the shoe is. I think to myself, of course it's uncomfortable, the shoe isn't designed for that. Long term running in regular LightStrike, the shoe breaks in more and feels more comfortable. Last mile of an 8k this past weekend in new Takumi Sens, I was craving the cushion of the Pros. Do the Takumis break in a little?

Great video as always! Would you prefer the Adistar or the Boston 10 for a two shoe rotation with the adios 6?

I’m listening 😬

Thanks! Good Q. The Adistar probably makes more sense as the max cush easy shoe to pair with the fast Adios. Personally I’d get the Boston as I like it fine for easy and long runs and don’t tend to use max cush easy shoes really

I have used the Boston and adios together exclusively since mid October. For me they work really well if you have a separate race shoe. If you want a 2 shoe rotation and wanted to race as well then I would pay a bit more and reach for the endorphin speed

Nice video, I’m almost ready to swap out my Boston 8s which I’ve happily used for about 2 years for most sessions, but think the new Boston being so different scares me a bit, probably safer to go for the new adios based on your video (given I’d rather not spend £150-200, eg endorphin speed, Takumi etc), any others in that price tier below to rival the adios for you as a speedier/session type shoe in a rotation? Cheers
@TheRunTesters2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jack! The Adios 6 will be a good option, especially if you can get em in a deal for £70-80. Nike Streakfly not that much more, but different, much softer ride and will be less durable. NB Rebel 2 also an option, though softer again, and I think Adios is snappier and quicker. Puma Liberate Nitro another nice cheap option for speed stuff, but again I'd say Adios snappier. Or hunt down some old Bostons!
@jack_rathborn2 жыл бұрын
@@TheRunTesters cheers, few good options, I feel like adidas/Continental really have a good thing going with durability and it doesn’t seem to be praised enough among runners who cycle through loads of pairs

The new adios doesn't feel any better comparing to the much cheaper lightstrike sl20 that i use for intervals. Boston 10 is too firm, i would prefer something smoother to put the big miles on
