Ra'ad was always my favourite out of the Andromeda crew. I liked his take on the whole thing, and him being the last to be capture really helps with his desperate plans and personality. He's an antagonist, but one that stand out among the others we saw, giving him the ability to stand out on his own. But he also isn't without reason, and you can tell he's just a scare and unsure person, being hunted by a villain he knows is not something to take lightly. He somewhat reminds me of the dragon, and it really goes to show that sometimes people will do bad things because they don't have a choice, but there can still be good in them.

I also love the small detail of Amphibian's eyes being blue during his first appearance, as all of Ben's aliens are green to represent Ben's soul in all of his transformations. Whereas to Amphibian, he's sharing his mind and conscience with Ra'ad, showing that Ben doesn't have full control of the alien yet.

decided to look it up: - Water Hazard was used once before this episode, and then used only one time in the Greg arc... accidentally. After Ultimate Kevin he would only use him two more times in UA (3 if you count the nightmare episode) - Terraspin is used once in this arc, at the Forge of Creation itself. he does get more afterwards tho. - NRG is also used once in this arc... accidentally. At the forge of creation itself. But afterwards he does get more uses - Armadrillo is used once in this arc... during that filler JT/cash episode. Woo. He's then used once after forge of creation in the Kevin arc and then get a few more uses afterwards - Ampfibian is used once in this arc, during the Ripjaws planet episode (don't ask how an electric being exists just fine underwater). only used two more times after the Greg arc, but at least he's in the Generator Rex crossover. So yea, he really only uses 2/5 of them against aggregor. 2/5 of the rest were mistransforms so he wasn't even intending it, and the last one was a filler episode.

Impressive speed with the breakdowns. Always loved Raads characterization and role in this episode. His design and powers are really cool too, it really is a shame Ben not only barely uses him, but when he does he's just "squishy flying electric guy", never utilizing the ability to turn into electrical energy and pass through outlets and such, as well as being able to read minds. The episode itself is very cool though and has a real feeling of tension and danger to it, especially in the climax with the Brainstorm fight, which honestly might be one of the most brutal fights in all of Ben 10, I mean his literal brain gets fried, Greg stabs the Ultimatrix while he lies there in pain and Ben's cries of pain are quite bone-chilling. So far I have absolutely been reminded of why I love Ultimate Alien so much and why this is one of my absolute favourite Ben 10 arcs.

And not gonna lie....took me forever to figure out the pun behind the name. As for Greg, that's true. Similar to most villians, he's another bad guy that Ben isn't aware was tailing him. Only difference is he truly has no interest in Ben. He didn't want the watch, it was just a tracking device for his REAL targets. Hell, even when Ben stands in his way of the Map of infinity, Greg didnt see him as a threat. What a villain

It just likely fell flat on its face because they did not have enough budget to go all out, and executed it poorly towards the end. As for the filler, UA has some of the best filler stories of Ben 10. So many back-to-back classics like Prisoner 775, It’s Not Easy Being Gwen, Catch a Falling Star, etc. Let’s stop pretending as if UA did not tell a lot of good stories post S2. Plus, UA animation is not even that good to warrant your comment.

I also did like ra’ads character development throughout the episode. How he was a bit aggressive at first towards the trio and he later sacrificed himself for the trio. As well as how ra’ad cared about his friends which most of them didn’t towards one another such as p’andor. A fantastic episode.

It would’ve been cool to see Ben use Ultimate versions of the Androma galaxy aliens to fight Aggregor, it would’ve played into the new ultimatrix power and played into the arc thematically, Aggregor wants to use their power to become more powerful, while Ben uses the ultimate versions of the aliens to become more powerful then Aggregor, or at least he could’ve used the Androma galaxy aliens to find the pieces of the map of Infinity like Aggregor was doing, that was the whole point why Aggregor got those powers and Ben was able to access 100% of each of their powers instead of 10% like Aggregor

The episode Hero Time coming after this in both production and airing order is so bizarre because we pick up Ultimate Aggregor essentially where Fused left off, leaving Hero Time as a weird middle piece between those two episodes. This implies that Aggregor has been trying to get Ra’ad off the planet for an entire episode. Hero Time should’ve definitely come out earlier in the season as it ties into Ben’s status as a celebrity more and not wedged between two arc-centric and integral episodes. It should’ve been after Fame but before Escape from Aggregor, so it could be either the second, third, fourth or fifth episode of the season. That being said, I still like Hero Time. The same can be said for Reflected Glory which in both production and airing order is sandwiched between Map of Infinity and Deep. There’s nothing wrong with having filler or more minor key episodes in arc-centric stories, but I think because of the stakes of this arc and how each episode is a direct continuation of the next, it messes up the pacing just a tad

Rewatching Ultimate Alien, and I came to really appreciate the Aggregor Arc. I wonder if in UAF Continuity All non hybrid/ the strongest Osmossians have his head spikes. Or if Aggregor was an outcast who was cast out because of his spikes.

It’s ironic how Yuri Lowenthal reprises his role as Ampfibian in Omniverse, albeit with a different accent and bubbly voice, despite that Ben was merged with Ra’ad in that particular episode. The blue eyes and Ben’s regular voice as Ampfibian were a clever dead give away to show that red flags were being raised.

Ra'ad is such a cool character. He's smart and stays hidden, but he's also scared of Aggregor and you could tell. Who wouldn't be scared after seeing Greg do all the stuff he did. He probably sensed or was there when Greg took his friends, thus he thought Ben was probably working for him or read his mind and blames him for his blunders. But has a guilty conscience and probably read Kevin's mind when he said "I used to be just like you" and decided to stop running and fight for once.
