Always thought this episode was more tedious than anything, probably cause it came after the hype of the kevin arc but Eunice’s powers also take away the appeal dna mimicry by not having her forms change at least a little when mimicking the other animals. The fact that azmuth hired a dude that tried to kill ben instead of Just sending a robot also makes me trust him exceedingly less. Even if you can get away from the incest ramifications it still means ben was an ass about his current standing relationship.

I like the idea that once ben gets a new alien they replace another one and acknowledges it so they don't have to do the classic "four arms to stinkfly/grey matter" so that they make an apearance. The only important/really good and entartaining episodes are season finales and other multi-parters(beacause of the 10 minute format, 2 parters become 4-5 parters), even the season 1 finale. Bonus points for actually shading in every scene and not a select few

This episode is really great. The idea of untrix is amazing, it makes total sense for Azmuth to have prototypes and kinda comes full circle when its revealed the Omnitrix is still no finished. Eunice as a character was good too, her dynamic with the trio is organic, especially with Ben, and the villain was menacing because of the new toys Azmuth gave him (that surprised me in the first time I watched, I was like "how this random ass villain is putting up such a good fight?"). The only real problem with this was the main problem of the Ben 10 franchise: inconsistency with in itself.

Before Eunice was confirmed related, or as I like to refer to it, pulling a Skywalker. She looked different enough, that I figured it sampled Gwens human DNA and filled out the rest of the components from the database. Making her distinct enough to be her own person. If she came out looking exactly like Gwen, things would be problematic. As it is, they made it problematic with Ben trying to cheat on Julie and dissing her behind her back. As well as pulling a Skywalker on her.

This is actually one of my favorite episodes. Eunice is interesting as a character and a concept. We learned a lot about her in a short amount of time, her powers and the way she implements them are unique and her personality isn't one-dimensional. I also feel that out of all of Ben's love interests, she has the most chemistry with him. It sucks that she was subjected to the pseudo-cest because I would have loved to see how their relationship developed. I really liked Eunice and wished they used her more.

I feel like the concept of Eunice could have had a much bigger impact on the fandom. I like the idea of randomising Gwen’s DNA, and I feel like people could definitely talk about how that could have influenced Eunice’s personality. What if it was Kevin’s DNA that created Eunice? Would she act differently? How would she act? Would she be herself? Would she be a she? What if the device wasn’t tracking the watch and some other random people found Eunice? Would she look and act different again? This could all tap into the science of DNA in the real world and even some thoughts about how genetic memories or personalities could work. (I’m not too educated on any science of DNA, just basic Biology and the nature vs nurture debate but honestly it could tap into those.). I definitely feel that the controversy around Eunice being related to Ben affecting the “romantic” scenes definitely had an impact on how she affected the cannon, taking the focus of what could have been a potentially deep philosophically challenging character to just “ew, incest”.

I always saw it the same way Kuro mentioned here about randomized DNA (never saw the Omniverse episodes were it was confirmed to be familial now so thats sad) but I always just saw it as she was her own person who just had a similar structure to gwen's bodytype like a semi-doppelganger because of one negibligble strand of DNA. Like in the same way I have the same hair colour as Kuro, maybe me and Kuro share a strand of DNA that causes that, but we definitely aren't related. Aside from that, I wish they'd thrown in some line about Julie and Ben taking a break here, would of made this less sleazy from Ben's angle *and* given more indication to what ultimately becomes of their relationship in Omniverse. Only other thing I can say is its a shame Ben and Azmuth's arguement was so last minute for the episode, I wish we got more detail on that. The fact Azmuth and Ben are very different people overall yet both have vastly personal stakes in the Omnitrix and everything related to it as the creator and the bearer, the conflicts between them should be big deals that get more focus and development for sure.

I really liked Eunice, and I do wish we saw more of her. I really don't think she's related to Ben - at least, not enough that it matters, and not to mention Azmuth never said the randomized DNA is entirely human-based. Human compatible, in the same way that some aliens and humans can produce human-looking offspring, but very different from your standard human. As a love interest, she's really great, and would have added an interesting dynamic, making Ben think about his relationship with Julie and giving a proper reason for their eventual break-up, even if they aren't a final couple. And, as you pointed out, I think the episode really would have benefitted from being a two-parter and exploring Eunice's concepts and origins more, as well as that struggle of not being alive in the traditional sense, but still having a conscious and sense of self. A good idea, but really not well executed in the long run. Even though the episode is fine, it just felt like they added a cool idea just to abandon it, and only bringing her back in UA for an episode where it really doesn't explore her any further (at least, in my recollection).

The confirmation that she IS related to Ben sounds just as off to me as the 'osmosians don't exist' thing. There are trillions of different possibilities of genes and an absurd amount of different interactions between genes. You know, considering that Eunice is only genetically human, doesn't that make her ... well, whatever you would call an AI with a genetically human body? Could've been interesting to build a story around. My personal opinion is that, maybe, the Unitrix' AI and that of the Omnitrix/Ultimatrix are different, the latter being intentionally less advanced after Azmuth considered potential problems with the former (like going rogue and altering its own programming as a result of personal experiences, etc.). Secondly, as I already mentioned earlier, if this episode had centered on Ben running away from his trauma, they could've avoided the whole incest thing and just made her DNA source a random girl, maybe even turned the whole AI learning about being human up to 11. If they're ever going to do a reboot of the series, this is definitely an angle that could be explored given recent developments in AI technology.

Now that we're getting into UA Season 3, I feel like a lot of these episodes could've worked much better in Seasons 1 and 2, to give the Aggregor and Kevin story arcs time to breath. "Mother of all Vreedles" could introduce the Vreedles as plummers before the Ultimate Kevin arc. "It's Not Easy Being Gwen" could explore Gwen's feelings about his boyfriend being a monster again. "Catch a Falling Star" could show how far gone Ben is and introduce some new aliens that he can use in his final fight against Kevin. Maybe I'm wrong but it definitely feels like this was the idea with some of these episodes, hence why Kevin is abcent from some S3 episodes like Catch a Falling Star for seemingly no reason.

Eunice's genetical relation with Gwen and Ben is not really official. It was one of the several statements made by Derrick J. Wyatt that no one from Man of Action or the Ultimate Alien crew ever confirmed. The fact is, as Azmuth himself states, Eunice's DNA is a sample from Gwen randomized into a new DNA of its own. Gwen provided the general human genome foundation, which the Unitrix built upon a brand new DNA with random features. That's why she's blonde and her face has a different shape from Gwen's. She could have even been black or asian, shorter than Gwen or even male, by they've chosen the stereotypical sexy blondie just for romantic purposes

It became official when Eunice disappeared after Ben requested that everyone he's related to be removed from the game in Omniverse's "The Most Dangerous Game Show". So unfortunately, in that regard, she is related to Ben, which I think is a terrible idea.

Those are Ma Vreedle, Xagliv and Helen (some others are erroneously shown to be "poofed" away, but than reappear in the competitions, like Myaxx and Drew Saturday). In fact Ben asks to exclude "my mother, cousins and a COUPLE OF GIRLS THAT--". Skurd then says "you've just used the Smart Bomb", which I think it implies Charles Zenith is able to determine not only if a girl is related to Ben, but also if he would ever come on to her. Maybe Eunice at the time was just a friend to him, like Helen. So, that's not really a confirmation of Eunice being related to any Tennyson

I know people tend to consider the first four series as one continuity/universe, but I feel like something that is canon to Omniverse should not be considered canon to UAF, as well as what is considered canon to UAF should not me considered canon to classic series. I mean, each depiction of Ben 10 has a different creative team of its own, different minds thinking of different things for different series. It doesn't seem fair to say, for example, that Eunice from UAF, written by UAF's team, is related to Ben because Omniverse's team, in the future, would decide to make her related to Ben, since UAF's Eunice wasn't written like that

I was also going to suggest replacing Gwen with Kevin as Eunice's DNA source. Some fun could be had with her as a female clone of Kevin, the rest of the team (including Julie) finding her oddly charming, while Kevin himself acting instinctively protective of her for reasons he doesn't understand. Then when she's revealed as the unitrix with Kevin's DNA, Ben, Gwen and and Julie all look to Kevin in surprise. Kevin: holy crud, I have a baby sister!!

I was just thinking about how to improve the episode and I think you hit the mark. Ben and Eunice’s romance felt fanficy at best. Eunice is too nice and would never call Ben out when he’s being a jerk, something he needs in a partner, and the fact that he’s going after Eunice when he and Julie are technically still together makes him look awful. Setting up a new friendship with Gwen however, someone she can talk to who’s different from her usual friends is an interesting angle

Eunice really is a great character with great powers, it's weird considering her relationship to Ben in this episode, but I like the character herself outside of that. I just wish we'd have gotten more of her. And, yeah, Kevin being related to her instead wouldn't have changed the story.

It’s interesting how the Unitrix was designed to only absorb one species, but still have Eunice take on the metabolism and abilities of animals, similar to an Osmosian, but without consequential results on said creature she interacts with and doesn’t mess with her mental health or have her be obsessed with power. Design-wise, the Unitrix basically looks like a soda can, but the minimalist design is suitable for an Omnitrix prototype. Plus, now that I think about it, the sexual tension between Ben and Eunice does come across as incestuous, which is rather unsettling and disgusting to say the least. That’s my mid-late teen hood ruined.

It would be better if things changes a little bit. Instead of getting this form by analysing Gwen's DNA, she could adapted the form by identifying the dominant species of that planet, or by making a perfect being according to the one who activated unitrix so they would enter a romantic relationship and the resident would be tricked into protecting the unitrix, making Azmuth's words have a bit more ground to stand on . Ben broke up with Julie due to the previous episodes, so Ben's arrogance could have consequences, and so does those episodes that depicted that Ben. It also make the romantic scene less awkward as Ben's not cheating, again.

I love Eunice. I wish we got more of her. A sentient Omnitrix core is a cool concept. Especially given the prototype Omnitrix seemed to act independently at times in classic. I didn’t notice that Azmuth said “One of” meaning there are more shelved devices like the Omnitrix. I wonder how many and what made them different. The pseudo-inc3st argument is baseless. It RANDOMIZED Gwen’s DNA, that’s uncounted generations of DNA, largely human and so distant it doesn’t count.

If Kevin touched the space pod but Eunice was still considered related to him, I think that could’ve had great potential. Compared to Ben and Gwen, Kevin only has his mom and stepdad as family. So getting someone he could consider a sibling could’ve been a really nice gateway to possible stories of them growing closer and Kevin welcoming her to his family.

Could be something like absorbing the abilities from far away without needing to touch and something like limitless shapeshifting based on whatever abilities she have stored. Example while fighting a tetramand (fourarms) in a foresty area she can use both four arms and poison from plants nearby, or any other abilities she can think of. This would be powerful because she can combine many skills, but would be balanced by the fact that she needs the DNA of nearby creatures to do it.

TBH Sunder made no sense here. He was ordered by Azimuth to get the Unitrix, but Azimuth was also tracking it. So he just never notieced that the unitrix and ultimatrix were in close proximity and decided to call off the bounty, knowing Ben was already there and taking care of the job? I guess it had to fit action in, but I wouldn't have minded Sunder being cut from the episode and having Azimuth be the antagonist for once, at least on a philisophical level.

She seemed like a cool character design wise and powers too. My problem was they dumped a new character without making any more episodes regarding her. The romantic relationship seemed too fast. She sticked with the team few more episodes then got into a romantic relationship that would have been OK. She still had good chemistry with him. People complaining about ben cheating on Julie, Ben did that way before when he tried to kiss elena. Julie seemed to care more about tennis matches and ben is too busy with saving the world. Their relationship was already messy throughout UA.

*absolutely not* I wouldn’t trade rook for anyone as ben’s omniverse partner. Dude’s a perfect mix of badass and wholesome, and gives us a look into another aliens lifestyle and habits long term. In the grand scheme of things his proto tool is more applicable in way more circumstances than Eunices animal powers are. I don’t think I strongly dislike Eunice, but I’m not all that compelled by her character either.
