A lot of drivers won't believe what you can make specially working with a good company and staying out longer. I've made over two grand in 7 days straight miles paid only no extra pick up or drops. And you're just a driver as I am that's why I don't own a truck great videos great content 👌 safe travels out there.🤘 Keep on truckin!

As a Owner operator now I have had weeks where pay after fuel was $300 and others over $6000 but I get paid % of the load + 100% of fuel surcharge and stop and planned layovers. Like 1 time I had a round trip load of lighting for the X-Games video game championship in Boston. I took the lighting from Vegas to Boston. Then waited 5 days then took it back. I got $500/day + very nice Hotel ($180/night). All I had to pay for was $65/day for the dog.

When backing hold your hand at the six o'clock on the steering wheel. If you want your trailer to go left just move your hand from the 6 o'clock to the left. It takes the thinking out of backing. Also u might want to practice backing during the middle of the day when the truck stops are empty.

You shouldn't lie about your miles and pay because people who have experienced being a truck driver more than a month know you are lying. So you're going to make $145,000 in one year at this rate. Being a company driver new to the industry?And you made $40 extra per load and little tiny other things that added up to an extra $600 in one week? Obviously not running that many hours running impossible 4500 miles in week. We all still support you and cheer you on you don't have to lie. Congratulations on becoming a truck driver.

My CDL cost me back in 1976 a grand total of $ 150 ! I took the written test then borrowed my uncles rig and took the driving test and 50 of that was for fuel ! Now on to your pay ... that figure was after fuel and other costs right ! At 4500 miles $2500 - 500 ( LTL’s) $.50 cents per driving mile , I don’t know your loaded miles . I’m assuming you were paid in the neighborhood of $1.50 a mile loaded ( household movers guide rate ) my neighbor hauls a refer and he averaged $3.50 a loaded mile . For a dry van that ain’t bad ! What’s your fuel economy at 7mpg or less ? Backing up tip put you hand on the bottom of the wheel and if you go left your rearend on the trailer goes left and visa versa. Works every time!
@deanlabbe99525 жыл бұрын
Some how when I took my CDL test I passed the first time. I was in an MH single axle Mack with a window in the back with a 40 ft trailer. That probably helped a lot. Anyway I did the offset drive thru fine. Then come the parallel park some how the first shot I'm in straight but the left mirror is hanging over the line. I walk back he points it out, I reply you want me to set it over and thank God he says no don't bother. Back slow and if its a straight back wiggle the steering wheel an inch so constantly to each side as your backing and you'll stay straight. When backing into a dock or whatever go slow and don't oversteer the tractor. You'll improve with more experiance. Keep the wheels out of the grass and the bears off your ass.

I would suggest getting the cab you have seen even if it is just the shell but it depends how long you are willing to wait to find a complete cab with interior. As you truck is so new, there is less chance of cabs becoming available. There will be some good parts in your old cab that could transfer over (wiring loom?, steering wheel?) and maybe some of the parts such as seats could come from other model years. I’m off to work on my rebuild project now; good luck with the rest of the rebuild.

You're missing out on better money. The best type of hauling is with food-grade tankers. Multiple stops may seem like a profitable deal right now, but anytime you have to fingerprint a load, the benefits of more money become less desirable than the downtime that you're missing to catch up on paperwork or just to take a much-needed breather to relieve the stress. Tankers have a lot of advantages. You never have to fingerprint a load and when you get unloaded you have guaranteed downtime as you get the trailer washed out. This may take more or less time depending on if it's food-grade or not. Food-grade only needs soap and water while non-food-grade requires chemicals that take a while. Another advantage is height restrictions - there are none. If the cab of the truck will fit, so will the trailer. Finally, food-grade is one of the better-paying hauling jobs.

@@carsandtrucks6782 Yes, but it can sometime be a bit tricky to get the same stenght in the repaired spot on things like regular car spoliers, etc, on thermal plastic i think the best result is achieved if one can melt in a metal or carbon fibre reinforcement clamp before gluing (for example heting it up with electricity so it sinks into the plastic), but if it's real polyester or epoxy it should not be a problem couldfixing it, if so i think it could be repaired the same way as cracks on a modern boathull. I’m about to hit my 3 months with my company and jump closer to that 50 cpm mark. I do about 3200 miles a week and make about $1500, and I’m 100% happy with that because I do dedicated and I’m home every other day. A lot of these big box companies pay 25-30 cpm. I’m curious, now looking back on this video since it’s been about a year, if in your next video you wanted to do a follow up on your thoughts being with this company, and just a general reflection on your time driving so far.
