Here is the link to the group. facebook.com/groups/1958301147580787/ If you don't already order PC from someone, you can also use this link to order pamperedchef.com/party/ACoffey . I'm still a PC consultant, but very inactive. It just so happens that a friend asked me to open a catalog show for her. I do love the burger press! My other favorite is the Silicone Basting Brush, I use that to lightly coat food with olive oil before air frying. I also found that the cake tester works great to remove stuck on food under the grate of the TenderCrisp lid of the Foodi! I'm trying to bake and then brown hard vegetables, like potatoes. If you put in a stack, of, say, 5 inches thick, and put it on air crisp to brown them, will it brown all of them, or just the ones on the top layer. (one online video explains how the unit pushes hot air through the bottom center, being different than a broiler which would only brown the top layer) But another online video says to make sure that you keep the veggies in a single layer, so I'm confused. Note: I'm just buying a Foodi today, so I'm not real clear on how it works yet.
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
If you use the basket, I find that it browns on the top and on the bottom, but not necessarily in the middle. So, to get everything browned nicely, you toss them around several times during the cooking process. Hope that helps and congrats on the Ninja Foodi! You are going to LOVE it!

I just might get a Ninja Foodi for the Winter months when my grill is buried in snow. But I'm torn between the Foodi pressure cooker and the Foodi Indoor Grill. I own 2 electric and 1 stovetop pressure cookers so it seems to be overkill to add another.

You really do need a good flat spatula to be able to flip the burgers in one piece at only 5 min at 325. I found it easier to just leave it in for the full 10min at 325 and this way it has more time to set, and then flip before you bump the temp to 400. Great video thanks for sharing.

Do you have any idea of the amount of energy it uses? Would you say it is power saving?
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
The 6.5 qt is 1400 watts and the 8 qt is 1700 watts. If you are using an average electric range, then yes I do think it's an energy savings because it draws less watts. I'm not an expert on this by any means and this is just my opinion. I think the best thing is the fact that the Ninja Foodi does not put out near as much heat as the oven does so it doesn't heat up the house in the summer time. It is a wonderful appliance.

I;m going through your recipes today, thank you for making such interesting foods in your foodi, I have a 3 qrt and 6 qrt IP and a boxed 6.5 qrt Foodi that I will be taking out tomorrow to make a rib recipe I have from another youtuber (Chinese cook.. flo lum) I'm glad I came across your videos, thanks for the fun and yummifulness

Kathy doubleu Thank you! I can’t wait to try ribs in the Foodi. 😁
@kathydoubleu68265 жыл бұрын
@@TheSaltedPepper I've made them many times in my IP from a recipe on KZbin Ribs - Fall off the Bone - with Instant Pot Pressure Cooker.. then I brown them in the oven. The recipe I'm using tomorrow is from flo lum she doesn't brown them but I will in the foodi. The first recipe is sooooo good. I'm sure this second one I make tomorrow will be good too

@@kathydoubleu6826 I bet they will be great! I love having the ability to pressure cook and air crisp in the same pot!

Have you used the crisper basket to make burgers? Just wondering if you have tried both ways and why the rack was better than the crisper basket, if you tried both.
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
I hadn’t tried the basket when I did this video and I haven’t done hamburgers in the basket, but I have done turkey burgers and they were great. Just preheat the Foodi with the basket in. You may not even need to flip.

Hi there. If I wanted to add some bacon as a stuffing choice along with the onions, how long would you suggest I cook it for? Thanks for doing such a fabulous job for us all !
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I would cook the bacon first and crumble it with the onions. Cook time would be the same.

My ninja foodi doesn’t have a dehydration button. What can I use instead. I can’t use a normal oven.

@@TheSaltedPepper Thank you so much. I would really appreciate some help with this very much. I can't see repeatedly using it without thoroughly washing it and I just don't understand the proper or best way to achieve this. : )

I made these tonight along with the French fries. The burgers were delicious! The fries didn’t crisp up but I found out you HAVE to use russet potatoes and I used golden potatoes. They still tasted really good but they didn’t crisp up.

I'm glad you enjoyed the burgers! I've never tried making fries with golden potatoes, so thanks for that tip!

I like to throw two slices of cheese right on the grill then push the bread down on it when it melts so it lifts off the grill when I lift the bread. Melted cheese on top and bottom is a personal fav.
@TheSaltedPepper6 жыл бұрын
7heRedBaron That’s a great idea! I like melted cheese on my burger (if I’m not stuffing it with cheese). How would that work in the Ninja Foodi? I think the cheese would have to go on the bun top right side up. I’m trying this for sure! 😁
@7heRedBaron6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, grilling cheese would be awkward in the bottom of the Foodi because of it’s depth. But the nonstick bottom would guarantee it would come up on the bread when lifted. I’m sure you could also air fry the bread with the cheese on top. Some tricks just stand the test of time, especially when you never see anyone else doing it.

Hey, Lovely/ tasty video as always Could I ask a question please If I have frozen burger patties, how do I go about that ????
@TheSaltedPepper5 жыл бұрын
I would honestly thaw them if you want a great crust. If you don’t have time to thaw, steam them for about 10 minutes and then dump the water, preheat on broil for 10 minutes and broil on each side for a couple of minutes. I haven’t done this, so use your judgement as far as timing. The thinner the burgers, the quicker they will cook.
